Means of attachment for securing a facing panel (30) to a supporting structure with a vertical mounting (10) which is secured to the structural member which is to be attached and two mounting pieces (12, 11) associated with the mounting (10) in order to make an adjustable attachment to one of the structural members, in which the first mounting piece (12) engages a long hole (14) in the mounting (10) for preliminary positioning while the second mounting piece (11) engages a separate hole (13) in the mounting (10) after the facing panel (30) has been finally positioned and is anchored into the supporting structure and in which the mounting (10) has a supporting arm (15) for the facing panel, characterised in that in order to accept facing panels (30) of great weight, for example natural stone panels, the first mounting piece (12) is a bolt which is anchored in a plug (16) in the supporting wall (20) and thus takes up tensile forces at right angles to the supporting wall (20) and in that the second mounting piece (11) is a bolt or high tensile rod which takes up the load components of the facing panel (30) in the plane of the supporting wall (20).
2. Means of attachment according to claim 1, characterised in that the hole (13) is threaded to take a threaded bolt as a second mounting piece (11 ).
3. Means of attachment according to claim 2, characterised in that the hole (13) is produced (drawn out) by forming a cylindrical neck from the material of the mounting (10).
4. Means of attachment according to claim 1, characterised in that additional holes are provided in the mounting (10) to take two further mounting pieces in order to take up forces in the plane of the mounting (10).
5. Means of attachment according to one of the foregoing claims, characterised in that the diameter of the hole (13) and the width of the long hole (14) are determined in relation to each other so that the same drill can be used for the two holes which have to be drilled in the supporting wall (20).
