Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a device for placing one or more layers of a plurality of metallic wires, the direction of which changes continuously during the stranding, on the surface of elongated material, in particular of electrical cables or lines, by means of a hollow nipple rotating with changing direction of rotation the outer circumference of the wires and in the bore the cable core are guided.
In electrical engineering it is already known (DE-GM 1 875 570) to manufacture the concentric protective or neutral conductor from a large number of individual wires which are applied with a reversing impact. For this purpose, the individual wires are guided through an annular washer, which is coaxial with the cable axis, on the circumference of which there are holes through which the wires run. This disc carries out an oscillating movement, so that the individual wires, in cooperation with the stranding nipple, are deformed in a wave shape and then placed on the cable core or embedded in a mass located on the core. The concentric conductor is held by a special guide nipple until a copper helix is applied.
The disadvantage here is that there must always be an adhesive mass as a base and a correspondingly long guide to prevent the concentric conductor from falling off the core. Because a roping through the leader does not take place. Such a mass is often undesirable, e.g. B. in the manufacture of cables for high and highest voltages or reinforcements for any strand-like material.
For this reason, in the manufacture of the cables mentioned with a concentric neutral or protective conductor, an endless belt was fed to the cable at the stranding point via rollers, which loop loops around it one or more times and then also removed via rollers and returned to the feed point ( DBP 1 510 097). The mechanical effort used for this has hitherto prevented the introduction of this method into practice.
In order to apply one or more layers of a large number of metallic wires with reversing stranding to any surfaces of elongated material with the least mechanical effort, it is also already known (DE-OS 27 05 743), the individual wires in the region of their run-up on the surface of the material of the stranding movement, one after the other, to be placed in a stranding nipple which forms during stranding in the run-up area and which remains as a lost nipple on the wire layer or layers. For this purpose, a hollow nipple is used, which rotates with an alternating direction of rotation, is conical and has guide grooves for the individual wires in the region of its conical outlet. The cable core, for example, to which the wires are to be applied, is passed through a hole in the cone. To the individual wires bearing direction and evenly on the circumference z. B. to distribute a cable core, it is particularly necessary in this case to ensure a clear and defined guidance of the wires until they run onto the cable surface.
Based on this prior art, the invention is therefore based on the object to further improve the known manufacturing process with the so-called "lost nipple", to concretize the guidance of the individual wires and at the same time an adaptation to z. B. to ensure different cable or line diameters.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that the angle of inclination of the outer surfaces of the circumferential hollow nipple to its central axis is 5 to 20 °, preferably 10 to 15 °.
This flat feeding of the wires in the direction of the surface of the material passing through, such as the core of an electrical cable, leads to the wires hitting the bearing in the correct position so that they are successively gripped and held by the band forming the nipple when the hollow nipple guiding the wires e.g. B. continues in one direction and then changes its direction of rotation.
In this context, it has also proven to be advantageous if, in a continuation of the invention, the radial distance between the run-off point of the wires from the end of the rotating one. Hollow nipple and the surface of the material passing through between 0.5 and 2.0, preferably 0.8 and 1.5 mm. This leads to a further homogenization of the running of the wires onto the base.
As already stated, the prerequisite for the functioning of a band as a "lost nipple" is that the wires are fed exactly to the point of run-up. For this purpose, it has proven to be particularly advantageous in carrying out the invention that the hollow nipple at its end facing the point of contact of the wires on the surface of the material with guide grooves evenly distributed over the circumference and at the end of the cable core facing the hollow nipple with one end circular plate with holes arranged in one or more circles for the wires ends, the wires being freely guided from the exit of these holes to the inlet into the guide grooves located at the other end of the hollow nipple. It is therefore not necessary to provide longitudinal grooves on the surface of the hollow nipple. The wires are properly guided through the guide grooves shortly before being placed on them. The individual wires are stored correctly and evenly on the circumference z. B. distributed the cable. The holes in the circular plate in one or more pitch circles can be marked according to the current number of wires, which saves setup time.
It has proven to be advantageous in weather management of the invention if the guide grooves are covered by a sleeve common to all grooves. A slip-out of the wires from the grooves is prevented, the wires come in the correct, ie, in prescribed intervals from each other 3 nd to lie on the surface of the material. This applies even if you go to higher production speeds.
The circular plate with the holes for the wires and the hollow nipple with guide grooves provided at the end form a functional unit. These parts can also consist of one piece, ie form a mechanically firmly connected unit. With regard to the set-up times required to start up the system or the set-up times when changing the core diameter, it has proven to be advantageous if the hollow nipple and the circular plate are two separate components. On the one hand, this greatly simplifies the structural design and the manufacture of these parts, but it can also save considerably on set-up times.
According to the regulations and the requirements that z. B. be placed on electrical cables, a certain number of individual wires is required. however, it is essential that a certain number of individual wires are assigned different cable or core diameters. If, as provided according to the invention, the hollow nipple and the annular plate consist of two parts, then an annular plate with a fixed number of bores for the individual wires can be assigned several hollow nipples with different bores for different core diameters. Hollow nipple and plate are therefore interchangeable.
An exchange can be carried out in the simplest way if the hollow nipple and the annular plate can be connected by screws. This means that a single plate is necessary for several wire numbers, due to one or more pitch circles, it being possible to assign a hollow nipple with the appropriate number of guide grooves for the respective wire diameter. This possibility not only reduces the tooling effort considerably, but also leads to a significant reduction in the set-up times, since the plate with the bores does not have to be changed constantly and the wires do not have to be drawn through the entire tool into the device again.
It has also proven to be advantageous if, according to a further inventive concept, the hollow nipple consists of a hollow cylindrical part and a part adjoining it in the direction of passage of the cable core in the form of a blunt hollow cone. This ensures free feeding of the individual wires to the guide grooves at the other end of the hollow nipple. The invention will be explained in more detail with reference to the embodiment shown in the figure.
The z. B. from an inner conductor, an inner conductive layer, an insulation and an outer conductive layer existing
The detachable attachment of the
