Description

  • The invention relates to a roller block that can be adjusted to a plate cylinder of an offset or high-pressure machine, in particular for an inking unit, consisting of a plurality of transfer and application rollers accessible from the outside and inner transfer and / or application rollers covered by the outer rollers, with at least one transfer roller. or applicator roller, which is pivotable about a further transfer or applicator roller.
  • From GB-PS 1 422421 an inking unit is known in which a plate cylinder can be inked over a number of inking rollers. In turn, ink is fed to the inking rollers via two roller trains, so-called ink strands. From this prior publication, it is also known to pivot a further roll that can be adjusted to a stationary roll in order to switch it on and off or for changeover processes. The disadvantage of these known roll stands is that certain rolls cannot be replaced without the rolls covering them being removed beforehand. The replacement of inner rollers covered by outer rollers thus requires a considerable amount of time.
  • The object of the invention is to further develop a roller mill of the type defined in the introduction in such a way that an adjustment of rollers which are covered by other rollers can be carried out in a very short time without removing the rollers which cover them.
  • This object is achieved in accordance with the characterizing part of patent claim 1. Further developments of the invention result from the subclaims and from the description in conjunction with the drawings.
  • In the roller mill according to the invention, the advantageous design of the roller bearing means that the rollers, which are not freely accessible in normal operation, can be pivoted out without great expenditure of time and in a simple manner, so that this previous expansion of further pressure rollers can be replaced, for example after wear. Furthermore, service-friendly adjustment is possible without removing the outer rollers. The invention can preferably be used in so-called two-strand or multi-strand inking units for offset or high-pressure machines. Another possible application is particularly in the case of more complex dampening units of offset printing machines or in so-called combined inking or dampening units. A not insignificant further advantage of the roller bearing according to the invention is that by using a stop in the pivoting device according to the invention after the necessary work has been carried out on the inner rollers, these only have to be pivoted back again without the need to readjust the pivoted rollers with respect to the stationary ones Rolling is required.
  • In the following the invention is described in detail using an exemplary embodiment, reference being made to the drawings. In these shows

  • The inking unit 2 shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, which can be used for inking a plate cylinder 1, receives the ink required for inking the plate cylinder 1 in a conventional manner from an ink fountain with the interposition of possibly further inking unit rollers and an ink fountain roller operating as a lifting or film roller. Since this upper part of the inking unit is generally known, it has not been shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. The ink coming from the ink fountain, not shown, passes via an inking roller 3 and via inking rollers 4 and 5 to an inking roller 6, which inks the plate cylinder 1. This single drum roller is referred to as ink strand A. An ink ribbon B runs from the aforementioned inking unit roller 3, in its place a inking device can also be used, via inking unit rollers 7 and 8 to an inking unit 9. Two inking rollers 10 and 11 are attached to the inking unit 9, which together with the inking roller 6 for one ensure even coloring of the plate cylinder 1.
  • As can be seen in FIG. 1, the inking roller 11 is a so-called inner roller and is covered by the rollers 7, 8, 10 and the ink grater 9, so that it is no longer freely accessible from the outside and, in particular, without the removal of at least some the outer rollers cannot be replaced or adjusted. The applicator roller 10, on the other hand, which has an on and off device 12, for. B. in the form of a pneumatic actuator, is freely accessible and easily replaceable.
  • A bearing plate 13 is rotatably arranged around the bearing bush of the color grater 9 on the two end faces of the color grater 9. These bearing plates 13 serve to accommodate the mounting of the inking rollers 7 and 8. On the plate 13, but rotatable relative to the latter, a further bearing plate 14, which is also pivotable about the bearing pin of the ink grater 9, is arranged. These arranged on the end faces of the ink grater 9 bearing plates 14 serve to accommodate the bearings of the inking roller 11. In order to be able to position the inking roller 11 in the desired manner on the plate cylinder 1, an on and off device 15, z. B. in the form of pneumatic actuating means, with the help of which the bearing plate 14 and thus the applicator roller 11 can be pivoted independently of the bearing plate 13 and is thus adjustable.
  • The bearing plate 13 can be pivoted together with the bearing plate 14 by a pivoting device 16, 17, 18 and 19 so far clockwise around the ink driver 9 that the inking roller 11 is freely accessible in the right end position and can be removed without changing an outer ink roller.
  • This position is illustrated in Fig. 2
  • The mentioned pivoting device comprises a guide rod 16 which is pivotally articulated on one side on the bearing plate 13. The other side of the guide rod 16, which is provided with a thread, is guided in a fixed but rotatable holder 17. Adjustment nuts 18 and 19 are screwed onto the guide rod 16 on both sides of the holder 17, with the aid of which the position of the guide rod 16 in the holder 17 can be fixed. After performing the required work on the inking roller 11 in the pivoted back state (Fig. 2) can be ensured by the position of the adjusting nut 19 on the guide rod 16 that the farm roller 7 with the originally set distance or the originally set contact pressure back to the Inking roller 3 is adjustable.
  • For the individual fine adjustment of the inking roller 11, an adjustment button 20 is provided on the setting and stopping device 15. As can be seen in FIGS. 1 and 2, the position of the inking roller 11 relative to the plate cylinder 1, once set by means of the adjustment button 20, is not changed by the described pivoting about the roller bearing 21 of the inking device 9. This means a considerable simplification and, above all, a saving of time when carrying out adjustment work on the applicator roller 11 and on the inking roller 8, which is also freely accessible in the position shown in FIG. 2, so that this roller is also easily replaceable or on the necessary adjustment work can be carried out. The color strand A can also be designed like the color strand B (mirror image).

Claims (4)

1. Roller assembly (13-20) that can be applied to a plate cylinder (1) of an offset-or letterpress printing machine, in particular for an inking unit, consisting of several transfer- and inking rollers (3-10) that are accessible from the outside, and inner transfer- and/or inking rollers (11) concealed by the outer rollers, with at least one transfer- or inking roller (7, 8, 11) which can be swung round a further transfer- or inking roller, characterized in that on the front ends of a fixedly mounted outer roller (9) there is respectively arranged a first bearing plate (13) tiltable round its roller bearing (21), in which bearing plate at least one further outer roller (e. g. 8) is carried, which is in contact with the said outer roller (9), in that there is arranged, on each first bearing plate (13), a second bearing plate (14), rotatable relatively to this, for carrying an inner roller (11), with which there are associated moving and holding means (15, 20) secured on the first bearing plate (13), and in that by a tilting device (16, 17, 18, 19) the first bearing plate (13) together with the second bearing plate (14) arranged on this can be tilted round the outer roller (9) in such a way that the inner roller (11) supported in the second bearing plate (14) is accessible in the swung-out position.
2. Roller assembly according to claim 1, with rollers in the form of a two-stranded (A, B) inking unit, characterized in that in a roller strand (B), one of two inking rollers (10, 11) is an inner roller (11) carried in the second bearing plate (14), in that in the first bearing plate (13) two inking unit rollers (7, 8) are supported, one of which (8), together with the inner roller (11), abuts the outer roller formed as an ink distributor (9), whilst the other ink transfer roller (7) is in contact with a further outer roller (3), and in that said inking unit - and ink application rollers (7, 8, 11) can be tilted round the ink distributor (9).
3. Roller assembly according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the tilting device (16,17,18, 19) has setting means (18, 19) for the adjustable applying of the ink unit roller (7) to the ink unit roller (3).
4. Roller assembly according to claim 3, characterized in that the tilting device (16, 17, 18, 19) has a stop (17) by which the position of the tiltable rollers (7, 8, 11) can be fixed with respect to the fixedly mounted other outer roller (3).
