Abstract

A key holder comprising a plate provided with an elastic ring and a detent pawl is insertable into a flat sleeve. The plate has a notch which receives an end section of the ring. The end section is non-displaceable in its fully inserted position since the notch lies within the opening shaft of the flat sleeve.

Description

The invention relates to a key fob according to the preamble of the main claim. The known solutions of this type (US-A-26 31 449) are not only disadvantageous because of their multiplicity in terms of production and assembly technology, but also very unfavorable for handling. The attachable element consists of a cord or the like, the free end of which is equipped with a clamped ring. This ring is in the niche. Applying new keys or removing a key from the bendable element requires great dexterity. You have to keep the clamped end ring of the bendable element clean, especially in the niche, until you have pushed the slider back into the sleeve enough. This handling would be made even more difficult if the slide would not carry such bendable elements on both ends, so that it cannot be pulled back into the sleeve into its latching position with the opposite bendable element.

The object of the present invention is to design a generic key fob in such a way that it is easier to operate with simplified manufacture, in particular with regard to easy attachment of the key and removal of the key from the bendable element.

This object is achieved by the invention specified in the characterizing part of the main claim.

As a result of this configuration, a key fob, which is only made in two parts and is therefore easy to produce, is created with considerable advantages in use. The elastic restoring force of the slide material, which is used for the locking of the slide in the sleeve, is used at the same time to automatically return the elastic bracket forming the bendable element to the basic position after the latter has been bent out - for application or removal of a key. In this basic position, the free end of this bracket is in the niche. Without attacking any actuation forces, the bracket is basically in its basic position and thus in the position in which the slide can be inserted into the sleeve to close the recess, which leads to all-round tying of the free end of the bracket. Due to the fact that the sleeve has an opening through which it is necessary to reach through in order to press the push-button surface of the plate-shaped slide from the locked position into the release position, there is also the advantage that the slide can be moved slightly forward with the same pressure-actuated finger can slide out of the sleeve until the niche is exposed. With the pressure-actuating finger, you still have the slider under control, while you can use the fingers of the other hand to bend the bracket out of its basic position in order to apply or remove keys.

With belt buckles it is already known (DE-A-23 42 208) to design the one buckle part as a plate-shaped slide. A pushbutton surface protrudes from its wide surface. The plate-shaped slide is inserted into a sleeve. This has a flat shape and has a reach-through opening in order to bring the pushbutton surface out of the catch at the edge of the reach-through opening. Apart from the fact that these solutions are not key fobs, the basic idea underlying the invention is lacking at the same time to utilize the elastic restoring force of the material which is necessary for such pushbutton surfaces molded onto the same material, in order to always resiliently secure a bracket for fastening any parts from a bent position to step back into a basic position in which it lies in a niche open on three sides, which is closed on all sides after insertion into a sleeve. In addition, key fobs are also known (US-A-40 79 607), in which a plate-shaped slider forms an integrally formed bracket for the arrangement of keys, in a uniform material. The free end of the slide projects into a recess of the plate-shaped slide. However, this is not done in a backhand. Rather, there is a considerable free gap between the edge of the niche and the free end of the bracket for threading the key to be lined up. The plate-shaped slide is inserted into a sleeve. This also covers the niche, but does not close it. The bracket is therefore so stable in itself that it does not bend out of the sleeve with the release of any keys, even when they are actuated. The plate-shaped slide is loaded by an additional compression spring in the direction of retraction into the sleeve. To thread new keys you have to pull the slide against this compression spring out of the sleeve, hold it with great dexterity in this position, then thread a new key through the gap between the niche and the free end of the bracket. If you then let go of the slide, the spring pulls it back into the sleeve. The additional compression spring used is also disadvantageous in terms of assembly. In addition, there is also the risk that the slider undesirably moves out of the sleeve when the key is being carried or operated, and that a key may even be threaded out.

An advantageous development of the invention is that the bracket protrudes over the longitudinal side edge of the flat sleeve shaft.

The security value of the key fob is increased by the fact that the niche is angular and one leg is transverse extends to the direction of insertion of the plate. If the bracket with plate is assigned to the flat sleeve, the transverse leg cannot be moved out of the niche even by exerting greater force on the bracket.

When manufacturing the plate with a bracket made of plastic with corresponding resilient properties, it is advantageous that an angled section of the bracket rests with play in the transverse niche leg. It proves to be favorable that the game is limited by protruding tips of the niche wall. These can be created during the spraying process.

An advantageous design is also that the push button surface has a stop that abuts the edge of the opening of the flat sleeve wall. This increases the locking strength considerably. In addition, there is an advantageous feature that the plate-shaped slide is rounded on its insert-side end edge and has spring tongues which bear against the bottom of the shaft of the flat sleeve. In the inserted end position, the spring tongues are under tension and ensure a firm, wobble-free contact of the inserted plate-shaped slide. The rounded end provided with the spring tongues allows the plate-shaped slide to be easily inserted into the sleeve. Another variant of the invention is provided by two plate-shaped slides which can be inserted into a flat sleeve in opposite directions. In a modification of this design, it is advantageous if the two plate-shaped slides overlap. This results in a smaller design with the same operating advantage.

According to the first embodiment, the key fob has a flat sleeve 1 made of plastic. This is composed of the two broad side walls 11 and 12, the longitudinal side walls 13 and 14 and the bottom 15. In this way, a shaft 16 is formed.

The wide side walls 11, 12 of the flat sleeve 1 are formed in the region of the shaft mouth to form a throat 17 which merges into sections 18 which run obliquely into the longitudinal side walls.

In one broad side wall 11 there is a snap-in opening 2 with a circular cross section.

Support ribs 19, which connect the two broad side walls 11, 12 and end at a distance in front of the snap-in opening 2, extend from the base 15 of the flat sleeve 1 symmetrically to the line of symmetry of the flat sleeve 1.

The flat sleeve 1 interacts with a plate 3 to be inserted therein. This also consists of a suitable plastic. An elastic bracket 6 extends from one edge 20 of the plate. This forms an oval opening 21 in connection with the plate 3. The bracket 6 ends in a section 7 which is angled transversely to the insertion direction of the plate and which adjoins a rectilinear section 22 of the bracket 6. The rectilinear section 22 in turn extends at the level of the edge 23 opposite the edge 20.

The rectilinear section 22 and the angled section 7 protrude into an angled recess 24 of the plate such that the rectilinear section 22 of the bracket lies in one leg 24 'and the angled section 7 in the niche leg 24 "with play To limit the play, three projecting tips 25, 26 and 27 are provided on the niche wall. The tips 25, 27 lie opposite one another and extend in the insertion direction, while the tip 26 faces the front edge of the angled section 7.

The plate 3 contains on its plug-in end a locking pawl 8 designed as a pushbutton. This is formed as a cut circular surface protruding from the plane of the plate obliquely in the direction of the bracket 6. The free cut extends over an angular amount in such a way that the material bridge faces the plug-in end of the plate. In the area of the material bridge, a hinge is formed by a groove 30 running transversely to the direction of insertion, about which the latch can be pivoted.

The detent pawl 8 has an arcuate stop 31 on the edge R opposite the groove 30.

As can be seen from the drawings, the plate 3 is rounded on its insert-side end edge 32 and there has two spring tongues 33, 34 which are shaped by an arcuate longitudinal slot 35.

From Fig. 2 it can be seen that the bracket 6 protrudes over the edge edges 20, 23 of the plate 3. The distance between the two peripheral edges 20, 23 is slightly less than the dimension between the two longitudinal side edges of the shaft 16.

In dieser Stellung befindet sich der Anschlag 31 der Rastklinke unterhalb des Wandungsabschnitts 2', so daß sie nicht aus der Öffnung 2 herausschwenken kann, vergl. insbesondere Fig.6.3 keys should be assigned to the plate are, the elastically deformable bracket 6 is pivoted so that the angled portion 7 of the bracket 6 leaves the recess 24. The keys can then be lined up. After releasing the temple end, section 7 returns to recess 24. The plate 3 can now be inserted. In the inserted end position, the spring tongues 33, 34 act on the webs 19 extending from the bottom 15 of the flat sleeve, while the latching pawl 8 plunges into the snap-in opening 2 of the flat sleeve. The spring tongues 33, 34 now cause the latch 8 with its edge R facing the bracket 6 to come into contact with the wall section 2 'of the snap-in opening 2. In this position, the stop 31 of the latch is located below the wall section 2 ', so that it cannot pivot out of the opening 2, cf. in particular FIG. 6.

Das bedeutet, daß der abgewinkelte Abschnitt 7 des Bügels 6 gegen jedes Herausschwenken gesichert ist, vergl. hierzu Fig. 5.In the insertion end position, the recess 24 is located in the area of the shaft 16 of the flat sleeve. This means that the angled section 7 of the bracket 6 is secured against any pivoting out, cf. FIG. 5.

The removal of the plate 3 from the flat sleeve 1 requires loading of the latch 8 in the inward direction. The forces of the spring tongues 33, 34 must be overcome.

Only when the latch has completely emerged from the opening 2 of the flat sleeve 1 can the plate 3 be pulled out.

The second embodiment shown in FIG. 7 has a modified flat sleeve 36. This is approximately twice as long as the flat sleeve 1. On the opposite sides of the flat sleeve 36 there are similarly shaped shafts. Furthermore, snap-in openings 2 are provided on a broad side wall 37, which cooperate with the latches 8 of the plates 3 to be inserted. In this embodiment, the flat sleeve 36 also contains webs, not shown, which act on the spring tongues 33, 34 of the plates 3.

In the third embodiment according to FIGS. 8 and 9, plates 3 can also be inserted into a flat sleeve 38 in opposite directions. For this purpose, the flat sleeve 38 contains two shafts 39, 40 lying parallel to one another and extending from opposite directions, which are separated from one another by an intermediate wall 41. On the outer broad side walls of the flat sleeve 38, the snap-in openings 2 are provided, which cooperate with the latches 8 of the plates 3.
