Description

  • The invention relates to a slide plate consisting of a one-piece plate made of refractory material clamped in a frame as a head or slide plate for slide closures at the pouring openings of metallurgical vessels, the plate being clamped between two frame parts which are detachably connected to one another by screws on opposite narrow sides of the plate . The invention further relates to a slide closure.
  • Such head or slide plates are such. B. known from DE-B2-2 620 423. The refractory plate with the flow opening for the molten metal is inserted into an approximately C-shaped frame. Then the open long side of the frame is closed by screwing on a strip and thus the plate is firmly clamped in the frame. To guide the plate in the frame, its longitudinal edges are chamfered and inserted in appropriately shaped grooves in the longitudinal sides of the frame.
  • The production of the frame is relatively complex and therefore expensive. The beveling of the longitudinal edge also requires additional effort and also harbors the risk that edge breaks occur when the plates are inserted or removed from the frame. Because of the shape of the known frame, it is not possible to insert and remove the plate in or out of the frame in the frame plane. After loosening the longitudinal bar from the frame, the plate is first shifted a little in the frame plane relative to it until the bevelled long side of the plate disengages from the groove on the long side of the frame. Then the plate must be lifted up on the opposite edge and vertically be removed from the frame at the frame level. This handling when assembling and disassembling the head or slide plate is relatively cumbersome and associated with the risk of damage to the already very brittle refractory plate.
  • The object of the present invention is to create a head plate or slide plate, in which the frame which clamps the plate is relatively simple and can be assembled and disassembled easily and without risk of damage to the plate, and the creation of an associated slide closure.
  • To solve this problem, a slide plate of the type mentioned and an associated slide closure with the features characterized in the claims are proposed.
  • The slide plate according to the invention offers the following advantages:
    • - The frame parts are of the same design,
    • - You can by edging commercial profiles, z. B. U-profiles, easy and inexpensive to produce,
    • - The frames adapt to the course of the narrow surfaces of the refractory plate, so they lie evenly on the entire surface, so that the contact pressure is distributed practically evenly over the entire circumference of the plate; local surface pressure peaks do not occur,
    • - it is not necessary to process the plate,
    • - The assembly and disassembly is very simple; touching the plate is not necessary; after loosening the screws. the frame parts can be removed from both sides of the plate and used to clamp a new plate.
  • On the basis of the embodiment shown in the drawing, the invention is explained in more detail.
  • Fig. 1 shows a slide plate according to the invention and
  • Fig. 2 an associated slide closure. 1 consists of the octagonal refractory plate 1, 1a, in which a hole 2 can flow as a passage opening for molten metal when opening the slide closure at the pouring opening of metallurgical vessels.
  • The refractory plate 1, a is clamped by two identical frame parts 3. The frame parts 3 are shaped so that they lie evenly on three narrow surfaces on opposite sides of the octagonal refractory plate 1, 1a. The frame parts 3 are connected by means of screw bolts 4 which are passed through opposite ends of the two frame parts 3. The frame parts 3 with the bolts 4 virtually form a bracket which clamps the refractory plate 1, a.
  • For a precisely fitting insertion of the head or slide plate 1, 1a according to the invention into the slide closure, bores or slots 5 can be provided for the passage of dowel pins 8 attached to the slide closure.
  • FIG. 2 shows the pouring opening 10 in the bottom of a pouring vessel 11. The slide closure 12 for the pouring opening has a metallic mounting plate 6 which is fastened to the bottom of the pouring vessel 11.
  • On the mounting plate 6, the slide housing 9 is hingedly connected via the rotary connection 13. Fig. 2 shows the opened position, which is used for mounting and dismounting the head and slide plate 1,1a.
  • In the folded operating state, the folding screws 14 on the mounting plate 6 engage in the associated slots 15 on the slide housing 9.
  • The head plate 1 is arranged on the mounting plate 6. To fix the head plate 1 are the dowel pins 8, which engage in the slots 5 in the frame parts 3 of the head plate.
  • The slide carriage 7, which can be pushed in the slide housing 9, not shown, with the aid of the hydraulic cylinder 16, is also equipped with dowel pins 8 which engage in the slots 5 in the frame parts 3 of the slide plate 1a.
  • The dowel pins 8 attached to the mounting plate 6 or the slide carriage 7 of the slide closure and the associated slots 5 of the head or slide plate 1, 1a have a slightly conical shape, so that the plates can be attached to the mounting plate or the slide carriage without difficulty can and have a tight fit after pressing. However, the holes or slots 5 according to the invention together with the dowel pins also enable a correspondingly simple disassembly of the worn plates.
  • If the slide plates according to the invention are used in a three-plate slide closure, a further advantage results from the fact that the coupling of the hydraulic cylinder 16, which moves the middle plate to open and close the slide closure, can directly engage a screw bolt 4 of the slide plate according to the invention.
  • Instead of the octagonal shape of the plate 1 shown, a different polygonal shape, but also a round or oval shape can be selected, the frame parts 3 then being adapted to the plate shape so that a uniform contact of the frame parts on the narrow sides of the plate as a prerequisite for dispensing with jointing compound, e.g. B. mortar is ensured.

Claims (4)

1. Slide plate comprising a one-piece plate which is clamped in a frame (3) and is made of refractory material as a head plate or slide plate (1,1 a) for slide closures (12) at the outlet orifices (10) of metallurgical vessels, the plate (1, 1a) being clamped between two frame portions (3, 3) which are connected releasably to one another by bolts (4) and which abut on opposite narrow sides of the plate (1, 1 a), characterised in that the two frame portions (3,3) are constructed identically and also so as to be axially symmetrical as regards the clamping of the plates (1, 1 a), and that the peripheral sides of the plates (1, 1a) and of the associated clamping surfaces of the frame portions (3, 3) are of plane shape.
2. Slide plate according to claim 1, characterised in that the plate (1, 1a) is octagonal and is clamped by the frame portions (3, 3) abutting in each case at three surfaces on opposite narrow sides (1, 1e).
3. Slide plate according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that holes or slots (5) are provided in the frame portions (3, 3) for the passage therethrough of locating pins (8).
4. Slide closure at the outlet orifice (10) of a metallurgical vessel (11), which comprises the head plate (1) and the slide plate (I a) of claims 1 to 3, with a slide carriage (7) which accommodates the slide plate (1 a) and which is adapted to slide in guides of the slide housing (9) and to be pressed upwardly against the head plate (1) which is arranged on a mounting plate (6) secured to the bottom of the casting vessel (11), characterised in that the slide carriage (7) and the mounting plate (6) each comprise locating pins (8) for engaging in the holes or slots (5) in the frame portions (3, 3) of the head plate (1) and of the slide plate (1a).
