Description

The present invention relates to a cleaning agent which is suitable for the treatment of heavily soiled areas, such as collars and cuffs, of items of laundry which are subsequently washed in the customary manner. Such agents enhance the effect of the detergent against stubborn dirt, generally in a so-called "fine linen" at 30 ° to 40 ° C, and carried out at 50 ° to 60 0 C wash for "easy-care textiles" can not be sufficiently removed. Corresponding pretreatment agents are known as paste-like or liquid concentrates or as viscous masses shaped into application pens and also as a spray. It has been shown that sprayable agents are particularly valued by consumers, since on the one hand they can be conveniently distributed evenly on the soiled areas without the aid of fingers or a spatula and, on the other hand, in the case of coarsely knit textiles, they penetrate into the deeper fibers and consequently on the surface applied application pen are superior in terms of their cleaning effect.

A number of requirements are placed on such spray cleaning agents, which in their entirety have not yet been met by the agents known to date. They are:
  • 1. High solubility for fats, oils and waxes,
  • 2. Avoidance of wreath formation due to dirt edges spreading out in the textile material,
  • 3. complete washability in the subsequent washing, ie the surfactant components used should in turn not leave a greasy stain on the textile after the washing process,
  • 4. Avoiding foam increase in the subsequent washing process,
  • 5. non-flammability,
  • 6..no toxicity for humans and pets,
  • 7. sufficient biodegradability of the washing raw materials used in the waste water,
  • 8. The composition should be coordinated so that the use of fluorinated hydrocarbons as blowing agents can be dispensed with.

The agent according to the invention meets these requirements. It relates to a spray cleaning agent suitable for textile treatment and containing a gaseous blowing agent at room temperature, characterized in that the blowing agent-free components have the following composition:
  • a) 6 to 16 percent by weight of an average of 4 to 8 C 6 -C 10 alcohols containing ethylene glycol ether groups, the proportion of saturated C 8 alcohol of which is at least 50 percent by weight,
  • b) 6 to 10 percent by weight of on average 2 to 4 C 12 -C 18 alcohols containing ethylene glycol ether groups, the proportion of saturated C 16 -C 18 alcohols of which is not more than 50 percent by weight,
  • c) 6 to 10 percent by weight of C 16 -C 18 alcohols having an average of 10 to 15 ethylene glycol ether groups,
  • d) 20 to 50 percent by weight of aliphatic hydrocarbons with a boiling range of 180 to 260 ° C,
  • e) 10 to 35 percent by weight of at least one chlorinated hydrocarbon from the series methylene chloride, ethylene chloride, 1,1,1-trichloroethane and perchlorethylene, the content of the components (a) to (c) being 20 to 35 percent by weight and that of the solvents (d) and (e) is 65 to 80 weight percent

The alcohols on which the nonionic surfactant constituents listed under (a) to (c) are based can be straight-chain or methyl-branched in the 2-position, saturated or simply olefinically unsaturated. They can be of natural or synthetic origin, for example obtained by ethylene polymerization or oxo synthesis, or they can be present as mixtures of such alcohols.

The constituent listed under (a) preferably consists of at least 75 percent by weight of an average of 5 to 7 saturated C 8 alcohols containing ethylene glycol ether groups.

Als einfach ungesättigter Alkohol kommt beispielsweise Oleylalkohol in Frage..The component listed under (b) is preferably a mixture of two nonionic compounds (b 1 ) and (b 2 ), which are present in a weight ratio of 1: 4 to 4: 1. Component (b 1 ) preferably consists of saturated averages of 2 to 4 ethylene glycol ether groups C 12 -C 14 alcohols. The component (b 2 ) preferably consists of an average of 2 to 3 ethylene glycol ether groups, saturated or monounsaturated C 16 -C 18 alcohols, the proportion of saturated C 16 -C 18 alcohols not more than 65 percent by weight and in particular not more than Is 50 percent by weight. For example, oleyl alcohol can be used as monounsaturated alcohol.

The component listed under (c) preferably has an average of 11 to 13 ethylene glycol ether groups and is preferably derived from mono-olefinically unsaturated or saturated C 16 -C 18 alcohols or mixtures thereof. If alcohol mixtures are used as the starting base, these can be 50 to 100% saturated and consist, for example, of mixtures of cetyl, stearyl and optionally oleyl alcohol, such as those obtainable from tallow fatty alcohols.

It has been shown that the component (b) and to a somewhat greater extent the mixture of (b 1 ) and ( b 2 ) are responsible for the good washability of grease or wax-like soiling. As low ethoxylated compounds, however, they are comparatively poorly emulsifiable in moderately warm detergent solutions and, owing to their poor washability, can leave greasy stains and wreaths on the textile. However, the additional use of the components listed under (a) and (c) completely eliminates this disadvantage and further increases the dirt-removing properties of the compositions.

The component (d) consists of a high-boiling gasoline fraction, which preferably has a boiling range from 205 to 245 ° C. and is present in particular in an amount of 35 to 45 percent by weight, based on the mixture free of blowing agent. The amount of the hydrocarbon is such that the agent is non-combustible in interaction with the other components and can therefore be handled safely in the household.

The lower chlorinated hydrocarbons according to component (s), which can also be present in a mixture, are preferably present in an amount of 20 to 32 percent by weight, based on the propellant-free components. The preferred chlorinated hydrocarbon is methylene chloride. The amount of chlorinated hydrocarbons is so limited that there are no health hazards for humans and pets to fear even when accidentally inhaled.

The selection and the amount of solvents (d) and (e) guarantees that even wax-like impurities, for example those from candle wax, are sufficiently pre-dissolved so that they can be washed out during the subsequent washing treatment. In addition, the solvents in the selected composition do not lead to the formation of a ring.

In addition to the ingredients listed, the agents can also contain fragrances, in particular those which mask the inherent odor of the solvents and the detergent ingredients. In general, amounts of 0.1 to 1 percent by weight of perfume oil are sufficient for this.

Suitable propellants are conventional propellant gases used for the production of aerosols and low-boiling solvents which are gaseous at room temperature. The particular advantage of the agents according to the invention is, however, that such blowing agents, for example combustible hydrocarbons such as propane or butane, or fluorine-containing blowing agents, which are considered to be of concern for environmental reasons, can be dispensed with. Carbon dioxide is preferably used as the blowing agent, with 2 to 3 parts by weight of carbon dioxide accounting for 98 to 97 parts by weight of blowing agent-free components. Although higher proportions of carbon dioxide are possible, for example up to a ratio of 3.6 parts by weight of carbon dioxide to 96.4 parts by weight of propellant-free constituents, these mixtures require more complex spray cans with a compressive strength of more than 15 kp / cm 2 , while at Adherence to the above conditions with a compressive strength of 10 to 15 kp / cm 2 is sufficient.
