Abstract

La presente invención se relaciona a una herramienta molecular para aumentar la tolerancia a las sales en un organismo. Más específicamente, la invención concierne a incrementar la tolerancia a las sales en especies importantes en la acuacultura internacional. La invención concierne a los marcadores genéticos ligados a la transferrina (haplotipos de transferrina microsatélites) en un organismo, en donde, los marcadores genéticos están segregando con tolerancia a las sales, y concierne, también, los mutantes funcionales (SNPs) en el gen de transferrina, el cual, coincide con los haplotipos de los marcadores y, por tanto, son contemplados como mutantes funcionales estrechamente ligadas con la tolerancia de las sales.
