Abstract

The guided anti-aircraft missile (SAM) includes a housing 1, inside which is installed a sustained jet engine 2, a source 3 of fuel for a jet engine, a combat unit 4 for hitting air attack weapons, autopilot 5, an on-board power supply 6 and an onboard computer 7 for controlling the on-board equipment and rocket flight. While the propulsion jet engine 2 is equipped with a jet nozzle 8 and is connected at the supply input to the source 3 of rocket fuel, and the output of the combustion products of rocket fuel - with the nozzle 8 of the rocket. Marching jet engine 2 is made in the form of a pulsed plasma-jet engine. The plasma jet engine contains an electric-detonation chamber 11 for fuel combustion, made of a transparent or opaque material for electromagnetic waves. Chamber 11 is equipped with a preionizer 12 and an ionizer 13 of rocket fuel. As an onboard source of power supply 6, a magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) generator is used, mounted on the rocket jet nozzle 8, and the fuel source 3 is made in the form of a tank 9 with compressed gas and a pulse metering device 10 for supplying gas or in the form of a tank 9 with liquefied fuel. The missile system has reduced weight and size characteristics and an increased range due to a decrease in the required amount of fuel consumed.
