Предлагаемое изобретение относится к средствам идентификации документов, выполненных из бумаги, полимерного материала или их сочетания, использование которых предполагает рулонное применение, по крайней мере, на этапе нанесения персонализирующей информации, например, на чековые или контрольные ленты кассовых суммирующих аппаратов или подобные им системы. Сущность изобретения, относящегося к идентификационной метке, заключается в том, что слой, в котором присутствуют дифракционные рельефные структуры, снабжен областью, угловая дисперсия которой для заданной длины световой волны, направления источника света и заданного порядка дифракционного максимума имеет соответствующую им величину, причем многослойный защитный элемент полностью размещен на поверхности полотна бумаги вдоль его поперечной оси, а область, выполненная вдоль поперечной оси многослойного защитного элемента, размещена по всей его длине и соответствующим образом ориентирована.
