Abstract

An electronic electricity meter and the associated monitoring circuits are present twice and form one meter assembly each (2, 3). Both meter assemblies are accommodated in a single meter housing (1). The monitoring circuits (9, 10) contain comparison stages (24, 25) which compare the output pulses to the counting mechanism (5) of the other meter (2, 3) in each case with the pulses of the monitored function blocks (18, 19, 21, 22) of the associated meter (2, 3) and supply an error signal to a circuit arrangement for the logical combination (27) in the case of inadmissible deviations of the compared signals. <IMAGE>
