Sektion B sprøjtetørreapparat, genvindes, d) i det mindste en del af det i trin c) genvundne tørre pulver gensuspenderes i vand til dannelse af en vandig regenerationssuspension, e) i det mindste den vandige del af den nævnte regenerationssuspension underkastes oxidation i væskefasen for derved at regenerere et aktiveret mangangdioxidabsorptionsmiddel, og f) det aktiverede mangandioxidabsorptionsmiddel, der er fremstillet i trin e), recirkuleres til anvendelse ved tilberedning af den nævnte vandige fødesuspension i trin a).
Herved opnås en effektiv fjernelse af navnlig hydrogensulfid og organiske svovlholdige forbindelser, såsom især mercap- taner, fra industrielle gasstrømme.
Opfindelsen angår også et apparat til udøvelse af fremgangsmåden.
