Process for the preparation of disazo dye salts It has been found
that you get very lightfast yellow to orange salts of: disazo dyes,
which are readily soluble in organic solvents if you use the disazo dyes
from diazotized q.-amino-i, i'-azobenzene through methyl and / or carboxylic acid groups
can be substituted, but in such a way that each benzene nucleus has only one of these substituents
contains, and i-phenyl-5-pyrazolone-3-carboxylic acids, which have a sulfonic acid group in the phenyl nucleus
can carry, reacts with organic bases.
vorteilhaft Verwendung finden. The dyes obtained in this way are only sparingly soluble in water or
insoluble. However, they dissolve excellently in organic solvents such as methanol,
Ethanol, butanol, methyl acetate, methyl glycol, ethyl glycol, diacetone alcohol, and
are therefore very suitable for dyeing lacquers, such as fuel varnish, acetyl or nitrocellulose lacquers,
as well as for coloring polymers, copolymers and condensates like them
are usually used for painting foils. Also for coloring wood stains,
Celluloid and for the production of rubber printing inks can use the new dye salts
find advantageous use.
2-Aminoperimidin, 2-Toluidono-4, 5-dihydroimidazol, tri-substituierte Melamine,
Diäthyl-a- und -ß-naphthylamin, 3-Aminoäthylcarbazol u. a., mit organischen Farbstoffen,
welche saure salzbildende Gruppen enthalten, umzusetzen (deutsche Patentschriften
561338, 533871,
It is known that dyestuff salts soluble in organic solvents can be prepared by converting acidic or substantive textile dyestuffs which contain one or more carboxylic acid or sulfonic acid groups in the molecule into salts of di- or polyaryl- or aralkylguanidines (German Patent 469 z79) has been suggested, also other organic bases, such as dicyclohexylamine, methyldicyclohexylamine, tetramethyldiaminodibenzylsulfone, hexahydroaniline, quinoline, hexahydromethylethylpyridine, 2-methylbenzimidazole, 2-aminobenzimidazole, 2-aminoperimidine, di-aminoperimidine, 4-, 5-toluid-substituted-di-amine, diethydric, 2-toluidamines -a- and -ß-naphthylamine, 3-aminoethylcarbazole and others, with organic dyes which contain acidic salt-forming groups to implement (German patents 561338, 533871, 767 788). By reacting with the organic bases, the starting dyes are made soluble in organic solvents and can then be used for dyeing, for example, nitrocellulose lacquers.
Beispiel i
19,7 Gewichtsteile 4-Amino-i, i'-azobenzol werden mit 63 Volumteilen 5 n-Salzsäure
The pyrazolonazo dyes obtainable according to the invention which contain 4-amino-i, i'-azobenzene or its methyl or carboxylic acid derivatives as a diazo component are distinguished from the dye salts known from the patents mentioned by a significantly better lightfastness. Example i 19.7 parts by weight of 4-amino-i, i'-azobenzene are stirred with 63 parts by volume of 5N hydrochloric acid and zoo parts by volume of water and diazotized with 20 parts by volume of 5N sodium nitrite solution at 3 to 5 ° with the addition of ice. The mixture is subsequently stirred for 1 to 2 hours.
Lösung aus 29,2 Gewichtsteilen i-(2'-Sulfophenyl)-5-pyrazolon-3-carbonsäure (ioo°/oig),

The clarified diazo solution now runs into a solution of 29.2 parts by weight of i- (2'-sulfophenyl) -5-pyrazolone-3-carboxylic acid (100%), zoo parts by volume of water and 25 parts by weight of calcined soda, with stirring. The coupling temperature is kept between 0 and 5 °. The mixture is stirred for 3 to 5 hours and filtered again. The isolated, moist dye is dissolved at 50 to 60 ° in a mixture of about 100 parts by volume of water and 100 parts by volume of 2N sulfuric acid. Q.4o parts by volume of 0.5 n-dicyclohexylamine sulfate solution are run into the clarified dye solution at a temperature below 40 ° with thorough stirring. The mixture is stirred for 6 to 8 hours and then the precipitated product is filtered off and dried. The yellowish orange dye obtained dissolves well in organic solvents, fuel and nitrocellulose lacquers and is characterized by high lightfastness.
Beispiels i diazotiert.
Lichtechtheit besitzt. Beispiel 3 26,2 Gewichtsteile 4-Amino-3, 2'-dimethyl-i, I'-azobenzol-chlorhydrat
Man rührt etwa i Stunde nach.If the dicyclohexylamine sulfate is replaced by dodecylamine sulfate, diphenylguanidine chlorohydrate, aniline chlorohydrate or benzylamine chlorohydrate, the corresponding color salts are obtained. They hardly differ in color and are also extremely lightfast. Example 2 19.7 parts by weight of 4-amino-i, i'-azobenzene are diazotized as described in Example i. The diazo solution clarified with kieselguhr runs with stirring to a solution of 29.2 parts by weight of i- (4'-sulfophenyl) -5-pyrazolone-3-carboxylic acid (100%), zoo parts by volume of water and 25 parts by weight of calcined soda. The coupling temperature is kept between 0 and 5 °. The mixture is stirred for 3 to 5 hours and then filtered off. The dicyclohexylamine salt of the disazo dye obtained is prepared as described in Example i. An orange-colored product is obtained which is readily soluble in organic solvents and has excellent lightfastness. Example 3 26.2 parts by weight of 4-amino-3, 2'-dimethyl-i, I'-azobenzene chlorohydrate are mixed with 300 parts by volume of water and 45 parts by volume of 5N hydrochloric acid and with the addition of ice at 5 to 7 ° with 20 parts by volume of 5 n-sodium nitrite solution diazotized. The mixture is then stirred for about an hour.
