Description
The subject of patent 828 537 is a method for treating wool with an active chlorine containing aqueous solution, which consists in that the treatment in the presence of a water-soluble Methylol compound of melamine or in the presence of a water-soluble alkylated, preferably methylated methylol compound of melamine is carried out. By using such Melamine derivatives when treating wool with aqueous solutions containing active chlorine, such as aqueous solutions of chlorine or hypochlorous acid or their salts, the reaction of the chlorine so delayed with the wool that the formation of under- or over-scorched areas to a large extent Dimensions is prevented. The wool treated according to this process shows the desired degree of shrinkage Felt resistance and often a better shape retention than wool, which z. B. with hypochlorite liquor was treated alone.
Es wurde nun gefunden, daß die Behandlung von Wolle mit aktives Chlor enthaltenden wäßrigen Lösungen mit gleichem Erfolg auch in Gegenwart einer wasserlöslichen Methylolverbindung eines Diamino-i, 3, 5-triazins, das außer den AminogruppenIt has now been found that the treatment of wool with active chlorine-containing aqueous Solutions with the same success also in the presence of a water-soluble methylol compound of a diamino-i, 3, 5-triazines, which except the amino groups
keine andern reaktionsfähigen Substituenten enthält, wobei dieser Ausdruck auch wasserlösliche alkylierte, vorzugsweise methylierte Methylolverbindungen eines solchen Diamino-i, 3, 5-triazins umfaßt, durchgeführt werden kann.contains no other reactive substituents, this term also including water-soluble alkylated, preferably methylated methylol compounds of such a diamino-i, 3, 5-triazine comprises carried out can be.
Unter wasserlöslichen Methylolverbindungen von Diamino-i, 3, 5-triazinen, welche für die vorliegende Erfindung verwendet werden können, sind hier und in der nachfolgenden Beschreibung einerseits in Wasser, mindestens bei Zusatz von etwas Salzsäure, lösliche Kondensationsprodukte zu verstehen, die durch Reaktion von Diamino-i, 3,5-triazinen, wie Formoguanamin (4, 6-Diamino-i, 3, 5-triazin), Acetoguanamin (4, 6-Diamino-2-methyl-i, 3, 5-triazin), Benzoguanamin (4, 6-Diamino-2-phenyl-1, 3, 5-triazin) od. ä., mit Formaldehyd in alkalischem Medium erhältlich sind, wie auch anderseits in Wasser, mindestens bei Zusatz von etwas Salzsäure, lösliche alkylierte Methylolverbindungen, wie sie in bekannterAmong water-soluble methylol compounds of diamino-i, 3, 5-triazines, which for the present Invention can be used are here and in the following description on the one hand in Water, at least with the addition of a little hydrochloric acid, to understand soluble condensation products that by reaction of diamino-i, 3,5-triazines, such as formoguanamine (4, 6-diamino-i, 3, 5-triazine), acetoguanamine (4, 6-diamino-2-methyl-i, 3, 5-triazine), benzoguanamine (4, 6-diamino-2-phenyl-1, 3, 5-triazine) od. Ä., Are obtainable with formaldehyde in an alkaline medium, as well as on the other hand in water, at least with the addition of a little hydrochloric acid, soluble alkylated methylol compounds, as they are known in
so Weise durch Kondensation von Diamino-i, 3, 5-triazinen, Formaldehyd und Alkohol, vorzugsweise Methanol, oder durch Verätherung einer Methylolverbindung des Diamino-i, 3, 5-triazins, wobei beide Reaktionen in Gegenwart einer Säure durchgeführt werden, erhalten werden können.so way by condensation of diamino-i, 3, 5-triazines, Formaldehyde and alcohol, preferably methanol, or by etherification of a methylol compound of diamino-i, 3, 5-triazines, both reactions being carried out in the presence of an acid can be obtained.
These condensation products can be added to the treatment bath directly or in the form of aqueous solutions be added. In some cases it has been found advantageous to first immerse the wool in an aqueous one Bring solution of the condensation product and then feed the active chlorine to the bath.
The following examples are intended to explain the invention in more detail. The parts listed are parts by weight, the percentages are percentages by weight.
B. dessen Methyläther oder Kondensationsprodukte von ι Mol Acetoguanamin oder 1 Mol Formoguanamin mit etwa 2 bis 4 Mol Formaldehyd oder Methyläther dieser Methylolverbindungen verwendet werden.33 parts of well pre-wetted woolen yarn are treated by repeated changing at 16 ° in a bath, which contains 0.67 part of the methylolbenzoguanamine obtainable by condensation of 1 mol of benzoguanamine with about 4 mol of formaldehyde, 0.8 part of active chlorine in 1000 parts of water Hypochloritlauge and 1.35 parts 3O ° / 0 contains hydrochloric acid. After 10 minutes, a further 0.65 part of 30% strength hydrochloric acid is added, whereupon the yarn is treated further at 16 ° for 50 minutes. Then the yarn to remove the chlorine is treated for 10 minutes at 16 ° in a bath containing 3 cm 4o °, '0 strength sodium bisulfite in 5 liters; it is then rinsed and dried at about 50 to 70 °. Instead of the methylolbenzoguanamine used in the above example, z. B. its methyl ether or condensation products of ι mole of acetoguanamine or 1 mole of formoguanamine with about 2 to 4 moles of formaldehyde or methyl ether of these methylol compounds can be used.
Similar results are also obtained if, instead of 0.67 parts, only about 0.167 parts of the the above compounds are used.
Nach Zugabe des letzten Anteils wird die Behandlung des Wollgarnes im umlaufenden Bad noch während etwa 30 Minuten bei etwa i6° fortgesetzt, worauf zwecks Entfernung des Chlors dem Chlorierungsbad 2 Teile einer etwa 4o°/0igen wäßrigen Natriumbisulfitlösung zugesetzt werden und die Wolle etwa 15 Minuten in dieser Lösung nachbehandelt wird.33 parts of wool yarn are treated for about 10 minutes at about 16 ° in a dyeing machine with a circulating bath, which contains 1000 parts of water, 0.26 parts of a methyl alcohol-etherified condensation product of ι moles of formoguanamine with 3.5 to moles of formaldehyde and 2 parts of 30% contains aqueous hydrochloric acid. A total of 0.33 parts of active chlorine in the form of dilute sodium hypochlorite solution are then added to the circulating bath in five approximately equal portions at intervals of approximately 10 minutes each. After addition of the last portion of the treatment of the wool yarn in the circulating bath is continued at about i6 ° still for about 30 minutes, after which the Chlorierungsbad approximately ° / 0 aqueous sodium bisulfite solution be for removal of chlorine, 2 parts of a 4o added and the wool for about 15 minutes is post-treated in this solution.
