- 3 - Description

The innovation concerns a container with a housing made at least partially of plastic.

Plastic containers are increasingly being used to hold liquid, gaseous or solid substances _, such as drinks, cooking and lubricating oils, cleaning agents and much more. This increased use of plastic for containers such as bottles, cans, cups and the like is leading to growing problems in waste disposal, e.g. in waste incineration plants, as the plastic containers have to be sorted out before they can be incinerated. This is very labor-intensive and therefore expensive, as the sorting is generally done manually.

The aim of the innovation is to provide a container with a housing made at least partially of plastic, which allows automatic sorting after use, especially in waste disposal plants.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that a body consisting of a magnetic or magnetizable material is captively attached to the housing of the container.

With containers designed in this way, permanent magnets or electromagnets can be used for sorting so that the containers can be sorted quickly by machine. In Mülientsor
In the case of waste disposal plants, this means that essentially only combustible material is fed into the incinerator _, while the sorted containers can be collected and sent for further processing. The most suitable magnetic materials for the bodies are steel, chrome, etc.

One way to permanently attach the body is to make it part of a sealing element on the container. Another option is to make the body a glued or vapor-deposited information carrier.

It is also possible to insert the body into a wall of the housing. This can be done, for example, by embedding it during the manufacture of the container by pressing, injection molding or extrusion.

It is also possible to insert the body into a seat or into a pocket that is formed on the wall of the housing.

The innovation is explained below using examples of implementation shown in the drawing.

Figure ⁵ shows a longitudinal section of a bottle-shaped container 10, the wall 12 of which is made in one piece from plastic. ^The upper part of the container 10 is narrowed to a neck 14 which has an annular groove running around it, into which a threaded ring 16 made of magnetic or magnetizable metal is inserted. A closure cap with an internal thread can be screwed onto this threaded ring 16.

In the example of Figure 2, the housing of the container 10 is formed in one piece with a handle part 18, also made of plastic. A ring 20 made of metal is attached to the handle part 18 in a captive manner.

Figure 3 shows a further variant in which the housing of the container 10 is also made in one piece from plastic. A ring 24, which also consists of a magnetic or magnetizable material, is glued to the underside of the base 22.

In the variant of Figure 4, a plate 26 made of metal is embedded in the bottom 22 of the plastic container 10.

The embodiment of Figure 5 shows an approximately bowl-shaped container 10 made of plastic, the wall 12 of which has a pocket 28 in the right-hand part in Figure 4, which extends in the vertical direction and into which a plate 26 made of metal is inserted. At its upper end, the pocket 28 has a slot-shaped opening 30 which opens into the upper edge of the wall 12. After the plate 26 is inserted into the pocket 28, the opening 30 closes elastically.

As Figures 6 and 7 show, it is also possible to form a pocket 28 on the wall 12 around the plastic container 10, which has two lateral guides 32, somewhat like a dovetail guide. A plate 26 can then be inserted into this pocket 28 from above until its lower edge rests against the lower edge 34 of the pocket 28.

In the example of Figure 8, a circular seat 36 with an undercut is formed on the underside of the bottom ZJ of the container 10, into which a King Z4 made of metal with a snap engagement can be pressed so that it is securely held in the undercut,

In the embodiment of Figure 9, the container 10 is designed as a cup made of plastic and carries an information carrier designed as a labeling field 38 made of a magnetic or magnetizable material, which is glued or vapor-deposited onto the wall 12.
