Drawer with at least one swivel support

The present invention relates to a drawer with at least one pivot support, wherein the pivot support is equipped on two opposite front edges with a bearing pin each engaging in a corresponding bearing recess in a side wall of the drawer, at least one of which is axially displaceable within limits.

Drawers of the aforementioned type are known per se and are used in particular in the office area as filing cabinets, whereby the pivoting supports serve to sensibly divide the drawer interior.

The aim is to make the installation or relocation of the swivel supports as easy to operate as possible in order to achieve variable use of the drawer interior.

The bearing pins can be retracted by the operating parts, so that the insertion of such swivel supports into a drawer is just as easy as removing them from a drawer, i.e. if necessary, additional swivel supports can be inserted into a suitably equipped drawer or existing swivel supports can be moved as desired, without the entire drawer having to be dismantled.

\q The disadvantage of the previously known designs is, on the one hand, the relatively high construction and thus also manufacturing effort required to achieve the above-mentioned goal and, on the other hand, that the operation when inserting or removing swivel supports always requires the use of both hands. Files located in the drawer can therefore no longer be held and secured by the same person, so that two people are often required when moving swivel supports.

The present invention is based on the object of improving a drawer of the generic type in such a way that the insertion as well as the removal of swivel supports is considerably simplified.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that the axially displaceable pin is attached to a molded part that is displaceably connected to the swivel support, whereby the displacement of the molded part when inserting or removing the swivel support in or from the drawer is automatic.

Such a construction is extremely economical in terms of both manufacturing technology and therefore costs. It can also be operated with one hand, as when a swivel support is inserted into the drawer, the sliding pin automatically moves into the corresponding bearing recess, or when the swivel support is pulled out of the drawer, it automatically pulls out of the bearing recess.

This means that the operator always has one hand free to hold and secure any index cards or other items that may be in the drawer.

Figure 1 shows a perspective view of a drawer, generally designated by reference numeral 10, into which a pivoting support 11 is inserted.

The two side walls 12 of the drawer 10 are provided with a plurality of bearing bores 13 into which bearing pins IA and 15 protrude on the opposite end edges of the pivot support 11.

In the embodiment of the invention according to Figures 1 to 3, the bearing pin provided with the reference number 14 is attached to a molded part 16, which in turn is slidably connected to the pivot support 11. The bearing pin provided with the reference number 15 is otherwise manufactured in one piece with the pivot support 11.

The molded part 16 is pushed over the swivel support like a clamp and has two guide cams 17 which engage in two elongated holes 18 of the swivel support 11.

One of these elongated holes 18 runs parallel to the side wall 12 of the drawer, the second elongated hole 18, which is adjacent to the bearing pin 14, runs inclined to the side wall 12, in such a way that the upper end of this inclined elongated hole 18 is closer to the side wall than the lower end.

the bearing recess 13 so that the swivel support 11 can be removed without dismantling the entire drawer 10.

As Figure 3 shows very clearly, by moving the molded part 16 within the elongated holes 18, the bearing pin 14 has been pushed back axially so far that it is disengaged from the bearing recess 13. The opposite bearing pin 15 is still in its bearing recess 13. In the position shown in Figure 3, the swivel support 11 can now either be tilted further upwards until the bearing pin 15 is also pulled out of its bearing recess 13, or the swivel support 11 is pressed downwards again, whereby after the molded part 16 has been placed on the base 19 of the drawer 10, it is pushed back into the position shown in Figure 2, i.e. the bearing pin 14 is reinserted into the bearing recess 13.

The displacement of the molded part 16 relative to the swivel support 11 and the associated axial displacement of the bearing pin 14 occurs automatically to a certain extent, which means that additional manual operations for the required movement of the molded part 16 are not required.

Figure 4 shows an embodiment of the invention in which both bearing pins 14 and 15 are attached to molded parts 16. The structure and function of both molded parts 16 correspond to the embodiment described above.

This means that the swivel support 11 can be inserted into or pulled out of the drawer 10 without any inclination. This is necessary, as Figure 3 clearly shows, when only one molded part with axially displaceable bearing pin IA is attached.

Figure 5 shows a section through a molded part 16 in the area of a guide pin 17 and makes it clear that the molded part 16 is pushed onto the swivel support 11 in a clamp-like manner.

Preferably, the molded part 16 together with the bearing pin 14 is made in one piece from plastic.

In its upper end area, the molded part 16 is provided with a nose 20 extending in the direction of the side wall 12, which partially projects beyond the upper edge of the side wall 12 when the swivel support 11 is fully inserted. The swivel support 11 can be tilted about the longitudinal axis of the two bearing pins 14 and 15 until this nose 20 rests on the upper edge of the side wall 12.

Claims (8)

Drawer with at least one swivel support, whereby the swivel support is equipped on two opposite front edges with a bearing pin each engaging in a corresponding bearing recess of a side wall of the drawer, of which at least one is axially displaceable within limits, characterized in that the axially displaceable pin (IA,15) is attached to a molded part (16) displaceably connected to the swivel support (11), whereby the displacement of the molded part (16) when inserting or removing the swivel support (11) in or out of the drawer (10) takes place automatically. 2. Drawer according to claim 1, characterized in that the molded part (16) overlaps the pivot support (11) in the front edge area in the manner of a clamp and is guided displaceably relative to the pivot support by guide pins engaging in guide recesses. 3. Drawer according to claim 2, characterized in that the guide recesses are designed as elongated holes (18). 4. Drawer according to claim 3, characterized in that one slot (18) runs parallel to the side wall (12) and the other slot (18) opposite the side wall (12) is arranged at an incline such that the upper end of this elongated hole is closer to the side wall (12) than the lower end. Hettich-8- 5. Drawer according to claim 4, characterized in that the elongated hole (18) adjacent to the displaceable bearing pin (14, 15) is arranged inclined relative to the side wall (12). 6. Drawer according to one or more of claims 3 to 5, characterized in that the molded part (16) is provided with the guide pins (17) and the pivot support (11) is provided with the elongated holes (18). 7. Drawer according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the molded part (16) together with the displaceable bearing pin (14, 15) is made in one piece from plastic. 8. Drawer according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the molded part (16) is provided in its upper end region with a nose (20) extending partially over the upper edge of the side wall (12).
