Use on containers with openings of different sizes. The net or grid can be injection-molded from a plastic or made from monofilament or multifilament plastic thread or from textile thread. Elastic threads can also be used, at least in part, to make the net or grid.

The net or grid-shaped insert can be stretched over the container opening using hooks that engage the edge of the collecting container. At least three hooks are required for this.

^Conveniently, the grid or net-like insert is square when viewed from above and a hook is attached to each of the four corners of this &bull;15 square.

The grid or net-shaped insert can also be circular when viewed from above and its diameter can be larger than that of the container edge. This insert can be attached to the upper edge of the collecting container using a tensionable or elastic cord attached to the circumference of the insert.

The room dehumidifier shown in Fig. 1 consists of a collection container 1 for collecting the water extracted from the room air and an insert 2, which can be placed on the edge 7 of the collection container 1 and which carries a bag 3 with desiccant j, in particular hygroscopic calcium chloride.
