1. Roughage trough for livestock farming, in particular for horse farming, with a trough and a cover grid ., which is arranged inside the trough, freely resting on its roughage content and by means of the inside of a side wall
associated rod-shaped guide elements ', each of which may be curved at the upper end, running between the top and bottom of the trough during its freely movable vertical movement and by a releasable lock within the side walls of the trough, whereby the adjacent grid bars _; of the cover grate, which are spaced apart from one another, run from the front &eegr; (front) side wall to its rear area, as well as guide devices designed as all-round closed openings enclosing the guide elements for guiding the cover grate
are provided, characterized in that the openings of the guide devices (9) are arranged directly in the cover grate (3) and within its side boundaries, and that the cover grate (3) can be displaced in all sideways directions with free play or without jamming both by a horizontal distance (11) designed as a separate free play in the sideways direction between the guide elements (10) and the guide devices (9) and by a free distance (7) provided in all sideways directions between the side boundaries of the cover grate and the inside (6) of the side walls (5) of the trough (2) within the trough.

Roughage trough according to claim 1, characterized in that the horizontal distance (11) provided as free play between the guide elements (10) and the guide devices ^9) and the free distance (7) between the lateral boundary of the cover grate and the inner sides (6) of the side walls (5) of the trough (2) are dimensioned such that the cover grate is guided by the guide elements alone when displaced laterally

3. Roughage trough according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the trough (2) is triangular in shape, the legs being arranged along the side walls of the corner of an animal housing box and the bars (14) extending from the hypothenum side and towards the legs.

Roughage trough according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that a further guide element (10) consists of a rope (e.g. also made of metal) or a chain, which is attached with one end or which is attached to the lower edge of the associated trough area and is releasably attached to the corresponding upper corner of the trough by means of a snap hook or a safety hook reaching through the cover grate (3).
