Description

Process for the complete utilization of the fuel dust entrained in the gas when gasifying predominantly fine-grained fuels in generators with descending Gasification and preparation of the fuel bed by blowing in from below It is It has already been proposed to gasify fuels in generators in such a way that the gasification takes place essentially from top to bottom, and that on the surface Slag formed by blowing in vapor or gaseous agents from below to sift upwards. This can be achieved by injecting these agents under increased pressure The fuel bed in a surging motion, and the slag that has formed sinks down on the grate. The slag is then removed by suitable discharge devices removed from the generator, and the fuel bed is for a new down gassing period prepared. If the fuel bed is sifted with gasification agents, so during this period a flammable gas is produced, but this is a result of the blowing in the gasification agent under increased pressure and as a result of the resulting considerable gas velocities a lot of ungased fuel, mainly dust, carried away from the generator. It has been suggested to use the fuel dust separated from the gases and fed back to the gasification. These are however special equipment required; fuel dust losses can also not be completely eliminated avoid. In addition, the sensible warmth of the gas dust mixture is predominant Part lost. Also the obvious idea, the separated fuel dust through Making combustion usable is difficult to achieve because the dust alone burns out badly because of its grain size. To simplify the design and the economics of these generator systems through complete recycling the resulting hot fuel dust and at the same time by using the tangible To increase gas heat is proposed according to the invention when viewing the fuel bed resulting mixture of gas and fuel particles immediately in the hot state behind the generator by adding air or oxygen and possibly adding To burn steam completely and z. B. for heating a steam boiler or one to make other heat consumers usable. As for the downward gassing in many Cases steam is required, e.g. B. for water gas generation, the gasification steam can produced in the manner described using the entrained fuel will. The lean or water gas produced during downward gassing can be used for the same heat consumer or used for other purposes. To secure a good combustion of the mixture of gas and fuel with oxygen-containing combustion agents a vortex chamber is expediently connected upstream of the heat consumer, where at the same time those entrained from the fuel bed and those caused by the combustion of the fuel particles resulting ash is separated from the combustion gas.
