dient, -The invention relates to a wheel brake cylinder for fluid brakes, in particular
on motor vehicle brakes, with a shoulder for the bleeder screw and with an in
this approach provided riser, which is also used to connect the brake line
serves, -
The aim of the invention is to improve the venting process in such wheel brake cylinders. This is achieved according to the invention in that the 4 diameter of the riser is dimensioned larger than the diameter of the brake feed line. Practical tests have confirmed that even a small difference in diameter and a very small slope are sufficient to promote venting.

It denotes 1 the wheel brake cylinder body with the expanding piston working in opposite directions
2 and the sealing sleeves 3 arranged in front of them. On the side of the wheel brake cylinder
1 is the neck-shaped extension 5 with the cylinder extension connected to it
7 cast. From the through-hole 11 running parallel to the wheel brake cylinder, the one passing through the projection 5 leads
Riser line 12 in the lower pressure chamber i 'of the wheel brake cylinder. the
Through hole 11 in the cylinder base 7
serves to accommodate the brake feed line (brake hose) 14. The connection nipple 21
of the brake hose is with its bolt-like extension 22 through the through hole
11 pushed through and through the end protruding a bit from the offset and from the through hole 11
attached cap nut 23 tightened. The cap nut is secured with a washer
24. According to the invention, the diameter of the riser 12 is now larger
than the diameter of the feed channel 2 5 connected to it in the brake hose
14. A is already sufficient for the desired effect of good ventilation
small difference in diameter. The cylinder extension 7 enables the connection of the
Brake hose 14 from both sides. When venting, only the cap nut 23 is a
little solved. It then flows when the brake pedal is depressed, which does not
is shown, a certain amount of the fluid supplied through this brake hose 14
by the between the recessed part 22 of the hose nipple 21 and the cylindrical
Wall of the through hole 11 located annulus after the open
End of cylinder attachment 7. The other part of the brake fluid flows through the riser
12 in the pressure chamber 1 'of the wheel brake cylinder. Because the riser in diameter
is larger than the supply line 25 of the connection nipple 21, the riser can
12 doesn't fill up so quickly. In this way, it takes place in the wheel brake cylinder
Opportunity of air located along the upper part of the cylinder wall of the ascending duct in
the through hole ir to escape, from where it together with the one loosened by the
Cap nut 23 escaping liquid reaches the outside. By the measure taken
a safe and perfect bleeding of the wheel brake cylinder is achieved.
