Description

Process for impregnating fur skins against moths and the like Pests It is known that Pdzfelle can be treated by treatment with suitable protective substances (Naphthalene derivatives, alkaloids, etc.) able to make moth-proof. The so far However, the methods known for this only applied the protective substances externally Fur hair on, so that they both in the further treatment of the fur skins as well became ineffective again relatively quickly in later use.

The invention is based on the knowledge that you can only get furs constantly moth-able to make real, if one finds a way to the named Protective substances in the interior of the hair, especially in the lower part of the hair root, bring in. According to the invention, the protective substances are the so-called. Brush water added and in this way without any special effort immediately before thin cutting brought into the fur hair from the leather side during the dressing process.

Bestreichung erfolgt, in weichem, gequollenem Zustande. It is well known that the leather of a fur is at the point in time in which the so-called brushing takes place, in a soft, swollen state. It is thus particularly receptive to the protective substances and suitable for them through capillary action to let it penetrate into the coat. The success achieved by the invention is therefore an incomparably much cheaper than if you look at the hair side of the Treat finished fur by brushing it with any suitable protective solution wanted, as has occasionally been suggested earlier. A particular advantage of the method according to the invention is that it is in completely the same way Both dyed and undyed pelts can be applied that one continues the chemical character of the paint, water (acidic, alkaline or neutral) can adapt to the requirements of the impregnating agent used and that finally the impregnating agent passes through the skin into the hair coat. So it settles primarily in the roots and lower shafts of the individual Hair tight, which is mainly subject to moth damage.

The method according to the invention is carried out approximately in the following way: In the normal dressing process, the skins are made in the usual white, but using its suitable, e.g. B. smeared from water with the addition of 0.05 to 1 0/0 nicotine crudum existing solution and allowed to draw. If: a single application is not sufficient, @ it is repeated until the skin is completely penetrated. Finally, thin cuts are made in the usual way.
