Abstract

The frame includes two tensioning chains running in chain rails for passing between upper and lower nozzle boxes (10, 11) with a number of nozzle holes to allow air to pass through. Sliders (15) with holes spaced the same as the nozzle holes are provided in the nozzle boxes for adaptation of outlets to the width of the web. Two sliders are fitted in each box, each slider group being associated with one chain so that sliders of each group are successively operated as the chain rails move. An operating shaft (18) is rotatable parallel to the direction of web movement adjacent to the nozzle face. A control roller (21) carried by the rail allows the roller to be swivelled through an angle corresponding to the adjustment range of the slider.
