Verfahren zur Gewinnung wachstumfördernder, wasserlöslicher Stoffe aus Thymusdrüsen Es ist bereits bekannt, daß Thyrnusdrüsen sowohl wachstumhemmende wie auch wachstumfördernde Stoffe enthalten. Es wurde nun gefunden, daB man die wachstumfördernden Stoffe in wasserlöslicher Form vorteilhaft gewinnen kann, indem man die frisch zerkleinerten Thymusdrüsen vorerst zur Abtrennung der wachstumhemmenden Stoffe sowie von Verunreinigungen nacheinander mit Aceton und mit Wasser nicht mischbaren Lösungsmitteln, wie z. B. Äther oder Benzol, extrahiert, hierauf den Rückstand mit Wasser auszieht und den Auszug mit Eiweißfällungsmitteln, wie z. B. Essigsäure, behandelt. Nach Entfernung des überschüssigen Fällungsproduktes erhält man eine klare, wässerige Lösung der wachstumfördernden Stoffe, die direkt für Injektionszwecke Verwendung finden kann. Durch Vertreibung des Wassers gewinnt man die wirksamen Stoffe in fester Form. Beispiel r kg frisch zerkleinerte Tymusdrüsen werden während 2q. Stunden mit Aceton aasgerührt, abgenutscht und nach Vertreiben des anhaftenden Lösungsmittels in gleicher Weise mit Äther behandelt. Hierauf wird der Extraktionsrückstand 24 Stunden lang mit Wasser extrahiert und das wässerige Extrakt im Vakuum zur Trockne verdampft. Der Verdampfungsrückstand wird in etwa 31 Wasser gelöst und mit so viel Essigsäure versetzt, bis in der Hitze alles Eiweiß ausgefallen ist.
