Process for the production of artificial silk, artificial hair,
Ribbons and the like with a softened shine The addition of rubber to spinning solutions
is already from the patent specification 138511 and the English patent specification 26 695/96
became known to the valuable properties of the spun threads
To lend rubber. The rubber first had to be replaced by a suitable one
Solvent to be brought into solution, which solution is then with the viscose
intended to be mixed homogeneously.
Ausführungsbeispiel i
According to the present invention, no homogeneous dissolution of the rubber in the spinning solution or the products produced is sought, but only an emulsification of the additive in the spinning solution and a fine, but nonetheless irhomogeneous distribution of the rubber in the. Products. For this purpose, the preliminary product of the rubber, the latex, in the form of the known commercially available concentrates, is mixed into the spinning solutions. This new procedure, in which aqueous rubber latex concentrates which have been made stable by the addition of protective colloids, are used, differs z. B. from the method of French patent specification 595 208, which wants to use the latex in the form in which it occurs at the natural collection points of rubber milk, that is, in a form which is unstable. The emulsification of the rubber latex concentrates is charged with all those spinning solutions which are alkaline, e.g. B. in the viscose and in the copper oxide ammonia cellulose solution, easily make. The evenly mixed with latex. Spinning solutions can be spun in the usual way without difficulty. In the case of viscose, the especially acidic precipitation baths generally known in the art can be used. The small latex spheres with a diameter of no more than 0.02 mm pass through the fine, but at least much larger spinning orifices without any obstruction without clogging. In the precipitated, washed and finished products, the latex spheres coagulated to form rubber are found again enclosed in a fine distribution. The latex, as it occurs in nature, can hardly be used because of its instability. The stabilized, commercially available latex concentrates or preparations can be used well. As a rule, they have a concentration of around 60%, but they can also be present and used in a more concentrated or more dilute form. Depending on the amount and concentration of the latex preparation used, the appearance of the products obtained, in particular their gloss, has been influenced. The latex preparations or concentrates can be used in both vulcanized and non-vulcanized form. The invention can be used for the production of artificial silk or staple fiber from viscose, copper oxide ammonia cellulose solution and the like of any desired gloss. It also proves to be particularly suitable for the production of artificial horsehair and ribbons, where the industry prefers particularly waxy, matt products. To influence the shine of artificial silk, it is sufficient to achieve almost all shades of shine from conventional artificial silk to complete dullness, if the spinning solutions of the known commercially available, about 60% latex concentrates are i% at the minimum to about io oio at the maximum, calculated on the textile material contained in the spinning solutions, added: Depending on the amount of additive, it is up to you to soften the shine of the products in any desired way. In the case of artificial horsehair or ribbons, where a particularly pronounced mattness is sometimes desired, there is no difficulty in incorporating an even higher percentage of additives into the spinning solutions or the products. Embodiment i To a normal operating viscosity with about 8% cellulose content and 7% alkali, an aqueous emulsion of latex concentrate in non-vulcanized form of 3%, calculated on the cellulose content, is added, mixed well and this spinning solution is then added in the usual way spun into threads, horsehair, ribbons, etc. using the common felling baths. Products with a visibly reduced gloss compared to those without an additive are obtained.
