Das in der' beiliegenden Zeichnung dargestellte Hustenfläschchen besteht aus einer Flasche α aus Glas oder Porcellan mit einer oberen weiteren Oeffnung b und einer unteren engeren Oeffnung c. Dieselben werden durch aufgeschraubte Metallkapseln d und f mitj zwischengelegten Gummi- oder Korkscheiben verschlossen. An der oberen Verschlufskapsel d ist ein Trichter g befestigt, der den Zweck hat, die obere Mündung stets sauber zu erhalten. Aufserdem ist die obere Kapsel mit einem durch Scharnier befestigten Deckel versehen, der vermittelst eines Federverschlusses geschlossen gehalten wird. Die untere Verschlufskapsel f ist unten flach, · damit dieselbe als Fufs für die Flasche dienen kann. Die Form der Flasche und die Länge des Trichters ist so gewählt, dafs beim Tragen in der Tasche oder beim Stehen die Trichteröffnung sich stets oberhalb des höchsten Niveaus der in der Flasche enthaltenen Flüssigkeit befindet. Hierdurch ist die Sicherheit gegeben, dafs der im Gefäfs enthaltene Auswurf niemals an die obere Mündung gelangen kann, letztere somit immer sauber bleibt. Entleert . wird das Gefäfs dadurch, dafs man die untere Verschlufskapsel abschraubt und die Flüssigkeit ablaufen läfst.The cough bottle shown in the 'accompanying drawing consists of a bottle α made of glass or porcelain with a further upper opening b and a lower, narrower opening c.
