Description
Automatic flow lock for light liquid separator Die The invention relates to an automatic flow barrier for light liquid separators. In the known separators the i) urchflüß z. B. blocked in that a in the separated light liquid sinking float the drainage nozzle locks. The invention consists in that a liquid as a shut-off means is used, the specific weight of which is greater than that of the waste water, and that this liquid from the accumulated light liquid in, read drainpipe the separator is pushed. The barrier liquid is located according to the invention z. B. in a arranged at the bottom of the separator U-shaped tube, one of which Leg in the bottom part of the collecting vessel for the separated light liquid opens and its other leg <read the lower end of the container drainage nozzle surrounds.
In the drawing, the subject matter of the invention is shown in two exemplary embodiments in Figs. i and 2 each shown in a longitudinal section.
Die Ausflußöffnung a des Abflußrohres liegt tiefer als der Überlauf, d.li. die Oberkante des die Leichtflüssigkeit aufnehmenden Sammelgefäßes L.At the bottom of a separator B (Fig. I) with an upper inlet pipe e and an outlet pipe a, b there is a pipe iz. with two ascending legs c, d to accommodate a barrier liquid that is specifically heavier than the wastewater and neither mixes nor combines with it. One leg cl of the tube zi opens into the bottom of a collecting vessel L, which is provided with a sieve plate p and is open at the top, for the separated light liquid. The other leg c is widened like a vessel. The lower end b of the container drainage pipe protrudes into it, the waste water flowing away through the upper lateral leg a of the latter. The outflow opening a of the drain pipe is lower than the overflow, d.li. the upper edge of the collecting vessel L.
The automatic flow barrier works in the following way: The U-shaped bent pipe zr is filled with the barrier liquid to such an extent that the lower mouth of the drain pipe b is closed by it, but the barrier liquid does not pass into the separator B itself. If the wastewater now flows through the inlet pipe e into the separator, when it reaches a certain height it presses on the barrier liquid in the leg c of the pipe to the extent that it is lowered while it rises accordingly in the leg d and in the collecting vessel I_. In this way, the lower mouth of the drain pipe b is released so that the wastewater can flow away unhindered. The separated light liquid collects over the heavier liquid components and finally flows over the upper edge of the collecting vessel L into the vessel. There it in turn exerts such a pressure on the barrier fluid in the leg d of the pipe when it reaches a predetermined height that the barrier fluid in the pipe leg .c rises again, closes the lower mouth of the drain pipe b again and thus blocks the drainage of the waste water. The separated light liquid can be removed from the collecting vessel L in any desired manner, for example by a pump. The sieve plate p prevents the sealing liquid from being sucked off as well.
In the embodiment shown in Fig. 2, the collecting vessel is standing L for the light liquid not directly with one leg of the barrier liquid containing pipe zi in connection. Rather, this opens into a chamber K, with the collecting vessel I_ through openings, pipes or the like. In connection stands. Here, too, the lower mouth of the discharge nozzle b protrudes freely into the barrier fluid containing pipe leg c into it. In this case, a simultaneous suction to reach the separated light liquid from the collecting vessel L and the chamber K, both rooms are connected by a lifting device H. It is clear that here a filling of the collecting vessel L with light liquid up to the overflow opening can take place in the chamber 1i without any interference during this filling the barrier liquid takes place in leg d.
Special attention should be paid to the numerous possible embodiments pointed out that especially the mouth of the drain pipe b into the vessel-like Extension of the leg c of the tube u containing the barrier fluid in a variety of forms Way can be executed. The formation of the leg can also be modified Experienced.
Finally, if desired, the barrier liquid in the The pipe is protected against the light liquid and the waste water by a separate protective liquid layer be completed, which must then be lighter than the barrier fluid, but heavier than the light liquid and the waste water.
