Der Garnwickelträger α ist mit dem Rohrstutzen α³ versehen, welcher am unteren Ende nach der Kammer a¹ des Garnwickelträgers und am oberen Ende durch die Stopfbüchse b² in den Cylinder c führt. Der letztere ist hängend am Gestell w des Apparates angebracht und der Garnwickelträger α bezw. dessen Rohrstutzen α³ durch die am Cylinder c befindliche Stopfbüchse b'² dicht damit verbunden und in demselben senkrecht beweglich gemacht behufs Senkens und Hebens der Garnwickel in und aus dem Flüssigkeitsbehälter ν. Die senkrechte Bewegung des Garnwickelträgers α geschieht durch die damit verbundenen, im Gestell w des Apparates passend geführten und in die auf der im Gestell w passend gelagerten Achse c¹ befindlichen Räder c² eingreifenden Zahnstangen c³. Die Achse c¹, welche mit der Achse k durch das Schneckengetriebe A:¹ k² verbunden ist, kann durch die auf der Antriebswelle / und Querachse k sitzenden losen und festen Riemscheiben Z¹ und Z² mit Hülfe der dieselben verbindenden offenen und geschränkten Riemen Z³ und Z⁴ nach links und rechts in Umdrehung versetzt werden. Die Verstellung der Riemen geschieht selbsttätig durch einen an der Zahnstange c³ angebrachten verstellbaren Arm m, welcher, wenn der Garnwickelträger a in seiner obersten oder untersten Stellung anlangt, jedesmal auf die durch die Stange η mit einander und mit dem Riemenführer n² verbundenen Hebel n¹ und n³ wirkend, die offenen und geschränkten Riemen Z³ und Z⁴ abwechselnd auf die feste oder lose Riemscheibe Z¹ und /² bringt. Das mit dem Cylinder c verbundene Zuleitungsrohr d ist auf jeder Seite der Verbindung mit einem Ventil ρ bezw. s versehen. Das eine Ende ist mit einer Flüssigkeitspumpe f und das andere Ende mit einem Vacuumkasten h in Verbindung gebracht.
