Das Wesentliche der vorliegenden Neuerung an selbstthätigen Verkaufsapparaten besteht in einem eigenthümlichen Mechanismus, durch welchen ein genaues Wirken des Apparates bei der Abgabe der verkauften Gegenstände und Sicherung gegen unberechtigte Entnahme derselben erzielt wird. Die Auslösung des Mechanismus kann nur durch ein bestimmtes Geldstück bewirkt werden, während es auf eigenthümliche Weise unmöglich gemacht ist, dafs dieses durch irgend eine andere Münze geschehen kann.The essence of the present innovation in automatic vending machines consists in a peculiar mechanism by which the apparatus works precisely the delivery of the sold items and protection against unauthorized removal of the same is achieved. Claims

As soon as the coin moves the lever H downwards (whereupon it enters the container G ) and lifts the hook h out of the opening s , the plate u jumps forward and closes the opening from below, so that when it falls back the hook hits it (indicated by dotted lines in Fig. 2) and pulling out the drawer is permitted.

When pulling out the latter, the hook h first slides up the bevel χ of the opening s and then along the top of S. With the drawer also the pin D goes forward, hits against the arm r ^{1 of} the lever R and rotates the latter into the position shown in Fig. 4 and indicated by dotted lines in Fig. 3, whereby the opening s is freed from the plate u.

By means of the springs ii ¹ , the drawer S is returned to the initial position, FIGS. 2 and 3, after the package α has been removed, whereby, as FIG. 4 shows (the drawer now moves in the direction of the arrow), the hook h initially falls into the opening 5, whereupon the pin D turns the lever R back by means of the arm r and thereby praises the plate u against h. The apparatus is now ready for further removal of a board α after inserting the correct coin.
