Abstract

A flow-through measuring cell, as shown in the fig., is new and is used in NMR, HPLC and CZE. The cell pref. consists of glass, fused silica or plastic and comprises an inlet, a cell and an outlet as a one-piece component.

Description

Es wird die Konstruktion einer Durchfluß-Meßzelle beschrieben. Die Einsatzgebiete sind NMR, HPLC und CZE.The construction of a flow measuring cell is described. The fields of application are NMR, HPLC and CZE.

In order to obtain a sufficiently large measurement signal, this must be done measuring medium have a certain volume. Because usually the leads to the measuring point have a very small diameter volume must be increased at this point. Usually this is done by screwing, flanging, soldering, Clamps etc.

Der Nachteil dieser Verfahren ist:The disadvantage of this method is:

Totvolumina und ungünstige Strömungsverhältnisse.Dead volumes and unfavorable flow conditions.

The cell materials used are glass, fused silica and plastic. The solution to the problem is achieved in that the supply, discharge and volume increase of the cell form a unit. The location of the volume increase is widened as shown in Fig. 1. Since it is glass or plastic, this is very easy.

The patent applicant had the first designs back in 1982 (and others) described in the literature, but not yet now decided to register a patent.

Fig. 1 shows the flow measuring cell with the volume increase at the respective measuring point, as well as the supply and discharge lines. The cell material is glass, fused silica or plastic. The increase in volume can be cylindrical, round or any shape due to the manufacturing process.

Die Einsatzgebiete sind:The areas of application are:

In HPLC or CZE, the Volume increase of the cell in the beam path of the detector built-in.
