Abstract

An image (1) is presented simultaneously in any number of directions by placing before said image - as viewed from an observer - a grid (5) consisting of parallel lamellas. A lighting system is mounted onto the outside of an image-observation part (120) which is rotatable around an axis (56) and comprises at least one light reflecting part (4; 6; 16). Between the lighting system and the light reflecting part (4; 6; 16) is provided at least one deflecting part (2; 3; 13; 24; 25) for deflecting light rays (10), in particular for their introduction into the rotating image-observation part (120), in addition to the possible inclusion of a lens system between the light source (32) and the deflecting part (2; 3; 13; 24; 25), and the rotation axis (56) traverses the grid (5). The deflecting part can comprise an independently rotative part (2, 130) for guiding light so that the light rays can rotate around an axis parallel to the direction of the rays, in particular a Dove, Schmidt or Abbé-type rotating prism (2), or else a reflection goniometer (130) with similar rectifying features, whereby the image (1) can be defined integral in rotation and can be possibly altered continuously by means of an image control (70a). In the path, in particular, in the image projection plane, of the light rays (10) in the plane of a base plate (7) of the observation part (120) or else (as known per se) perpendicular to the latter, are placed a projection screen (6), preferably transparent, and downstream of the deflecting part, a lens system having preferably a focussing device (9) (possibly remote-controlled). Instead of the rotating prism or else in addition to the latter are possibly provided a deflecting part (3a; 25) integral in rotation with the observation part (120) and designed to deflect light rays (10), in particular, of approximately 90 degrees, and preferably in the observation part (120), at least one, in particular several mirrors (4n', 4n") arranged side by side according to appropriate angles, for the projection of the respective image onto a plane located in the rotation axis.
