Es wurde nun gefunden, daß cyclische Ketone auch mit höheren aliphatischen oder aromatischen Aldehyden unter Bildung von Harzen kondensiert werden können. Man hat schon Methylcyclohexanon mit i bzw. 2 Molen Benzaldehyd unter Verwendung von hiatriumäthylat unter milden Bedingungen kondensiert und dabei wohldefinierte, kristallisierte Verbindungen, nämlich Benzyliden-methylcyclohexanon und Dibenzylidenmethylcyclohexanon erhalten. Es ist daher überraschend, daß man auch bei der Kondensation von Cyclohexanon oder seinen Derivaten mit höheren Aldehyden Kunstharze von vorzüglichen Eigenschaften erhalten kann.
