Description

In dem Patent 339107 ist die Herstellung von Kunstharz beschrieben, welches durch Kondensation von Cyclohexanon oder seinen Derivaten mit Formaldehyd entsteht. Es wurde nun gefunden, daß cyclische Ketone auch mit höheren aliphatischen oder aromatischen Aldehyden unter Bildung von Harzen kondensiert werden können. Man hat schon Methylcyclohexanon mit i bzw. 2 Molen Benzaldehyd unter Verwendung von hiatriumäthylat unter milden Bedingungen kondensiert und dabei wohldefinierte, kristallisierte Verbindungen, nämlich Benzyliden-methylcyclohexanon und Dibenzylidenmethylcyclohexanon erhalten. Es ist daher überraschend, daß man auch bei der Kondensation von Cyclohexanon oder seinen Derivaten mit höheren Aldehyden Kunstharze von vorzüglichen Eigenschaften erhalten kann.
