Description

The invention relates to an arrangement for over watch a burner flame, with one over the burner flame closed ionization circuit and one of the Bren nerflamme controlled controlled oscillator for generating egg dynamic monitoring signal.

A gas flame works when integrated in an Ionisa tion circuit known as a series connection of one high-resistance (approx. 10 to 100 megohms) and one Diode. This effect is known from EP 0159748 A1 known circuit for flame monitoring exploited. Of the An ionization current flowing over the flame produces a measurement DC voltage on a capacitor connected to a signal gear of a comparator and with one from the network frequency-derived rectangular pulse sequence is compared. The result of the comparison becomes a signal for flame over monitoring derived, the frequency of which corresponds to the mains frequency speaks. This known arrangement allows additional to monitor the presence of the flame itself too monitoring of some particularly vulnerable circuit components and generates a shutdown signal in the event of a fault function of these components, but is still for the Continuous operation is not reliable enough. With errors in the denje some components that the comparative ref generate a limit voltage, the presence of a Burner flame simulating signal arise. In addition, mains frequency radiation for switching the Kompara lead gate arrangement. This is a general problem if - as in the known circuit - a reference voltage at Mains frequency is provided.

In an arrangement known from DE 24 30 328 A1 of the generic type, the oscillator with one of controlled trigger signal generated by a flame detector. The signal required for triggering is relatively weak; the the oscillator must be correspondingly sensitive to the triggering address signal. Changes in a component of the feedback circuit coupled to the trigger input lead to a shift and thus to a false trigger ren. The coordination and hiring effort of the individual comm components of the overall arrangement is relatively high.

The US-PS 38 53 455 describes a flame; Ignition and Monitoring arrangement in which a flame guard detects an Os zillator depending on the presence of a flame controls. Function and response behavior of the oscillator are depending on the function of the components of the flame sensing circuit.

The invention has for its object the flames Monitoring without essential structural and / or functional len additional effort reliably and therefore for continuous operation to make it suitable.

Based on an arrangement of the type mentioned this task is inventively by the characterizing Features of claim 1 solved.

The arrangement according to the invention ensures that a Flame signal is only displayed under all circumstances if on the one hand there is a flame and the Ionisa tion current flows over the flame and on the other hand all com components of the monitoring arrangement unrestricted radio are able to act. The oscillation of the oscillator, i. H. whose dynamic output signal is always a fail-safe time chen for the presence of a flame; because the oscillator becomes directly from the ionization flowing over the flame supplied with electricity. In the event of an electrode short circuit, only flows  an alternating current that is the supply required by the oscillator DC voltage cannot generate. The result is that the oscillator cannot vibrate.

An essential further advantage of the invention lies in that the reliable flame monitoring with simple structural means is achieved. The oscillator does not need one  (dynamic) reference signal and is directly from the Ionisati ons circuit. The ionization current is both on output signal as well as supply signal. The invention works also independent of the mains frequency, since the oscillator is on a suitable oscillator frequency can be tuned. in the Contrary to the prior art described above So there is no danger of mains frequency radiation and the loading operational safety of the monitoring circuit impairing Malfunctions. The oscillator frequency can, for example, in Range between 1 and 10 kHz can be provided; at the next the example described below the oscillator frequency is approx. 2 kHz, a frequency at which no mains frequency radiation in the further processing or signal evaluating circuits are to be expected.

A further increase in the reliability of the flame over Watch can be achieved in a further development of the invention Chen that the output signal of the oscillator over a charge pump circuit is used to supply an actuator and that the fuel supply to the monitored burner flame is interrupted if and as long as the actuator without a supply is. The dynamic output signal of the Oszil acts here lators as a charge pump signal that belongs to the actuator renden relay is supplied to the presence of the burner display flame.

Vorteilhafte Weiterbildungen der Erfindung sind in den Un teransprüchen gekennzeichnet,Advantageous developments of the invention are in the Un claims marked,

In der Zeichnung zeigt:In the following the invention with reference to the drawing explained. The drawing shows:

Fig. 1 ein Ausführungsbeispiel der Erfindung mit den wichtigsten, teilweise als Blöcke dargestellten Komponenten; und Figure 1 shows an embodiment of the invention with the most important components, partially shown as blocks. and

Fig. 2 is a partially modified and supplemented embodiment of FIG. 1.

The flame detector arrangement shown in FIG. 1 has a mains transformer 1 with two secondary windings 11 and 12 , from which the entire arrangement is fed. A power supply unit 2 is connected to the first secondary winding 11 and generates an operating voltage of 24 V in the example described. The second secondary winding 12 generates the ionization voltage for an ionization circuit. In addition to the secondary winding 12, this contains the flame 3 , whose electrical equivalent circuit, as stated at the outset, consists of a series circuit comprising a high-resistance resistor 30 and a diode 31 . The ionization current flows from the immersion in the flame 3 ionization electrode 32 through the gas flame 3 (electrical replacement components 30 , 31 ) to the burner ground connection 33 . In addition, the ionization circuit contains an optionally adjustable limiting resistor 4 , a reference voltage line 5 and a square wave oscillator 6 as a load. The oscillator 6 draws its DC supply voltage from the ionization circuit and is accordingly integrated with its two supply connections 61 , 62 into the ionization circuit 12 , 33 , 3 , 4 , 6 , 5 . A filter capacitor 7 is connected to the rectangular oscillator 6 in parallel.

The signal input of an amplifier 8 is capacitively coupled to the output 63 . The amplifier 8 is supplied from the power supply 2 with a 24 V operating voltage.

A rectifier 9 develops a rectified output voltage against the reference potential V REF on line 5 from the amplified and capacitively coupled oscillator signal. Therefore, only a voltage is developed at the outputs 91 and 92 of the rectifier 9 when 90 square-wave pulses from the output 63 of the oscillator 6 are present at the rectifier input. If the oscillator 6 does not oscillate, the voltage difference at the output connections 91 and 92 is zero or below a threshold voltage required to excite the relay 10 connected downstream. The relay 10 is part of an actuator illustrated in the drawing only by a contact 14 (closer), which serves to control a suitable signal and / or fuel control device.

The arrangement shown schematically in Fig. 1 operates as follows. If the flame 3 is present, an ionization current flows through the ionization circuit 12 , 5 , 6 , 4 , 3 and 33 . The capacitor 7 charges to a DC voltage, and the oscillator 6 oscillates at a frequency of approximately 2 kHz. The square-wave pulse sequence occurring at the output 63 is amplified by the amplifier 8 and serves as a pump signal for the rectifier 9 , which generates a direct voltage ge 91 at the terminal 92 . The latter excites the relay 10 and closes there with the actuator circuit via the contact 14 . If the flame 3 fails, the ionization circuit is interrupted. The capacitor 7 discharges through the oscillator 6 . The vibrations at the output 63 of the oscillator 6 stop as soon as the voltage at the capacitor 7 has fallen below a certain threshold value. The relay 10 drops out and the contact 14 is opened. The oscillator 6 can only oscillate when the capacitor 7 is again supplied with direct current via the flame 3 . Due to the direct supply of the oscillator 6 from the ionization current via the flame 3 , the oscillation of the oscillator is a fail-safe sign of the presence of the burner flame. In the event of an electrode short circuit ( 32/33 ), only an alternating current flows, which is passed through the capacitor 7 . The oscillator 6 therefore receives no DC voltage via the capacitor 7 . An oscillation of the oscillator 6 is impossible.

The embodiment according to FIG. 2 corresponds to that according to FIG. 1 with regard to the arrangement of the ionization circuit and the mains voltage supply. Abgewan delt and added to the function of the circuit arrangement according to FIG. 2 with regard to some components downstream of the output 63 of the oscillator. The latter provide an error message and in the event of an interruption in the branch of the filter capacitor 7 and a simultaneous electrode short circuit ( 32/33 ). In this error state, the oscillator 6 generates a pulse packet sequence at the output 63, the pulse packets are output via a consecutive two half-waves of the mains voltage at the output of the 63rd (The oscillator frequency at the output 63 is 2 kHz in the exemplary embodiment described.) During the other half-wave, the oscillator 6 remains in the idle state. The circuit adjoining the first clutch capacitor acts as a pulse distance discriminator which, in the event of an interruption in the AC circuit via the capacitor 7 and a corresponding interruption between the pulse packets at the output 63 , produces an interference signal to the relay 10 a corresponding to the relay 10 a of the arrangement according to FIG are.. 2

The output 63 in FIG. 2 is followed by a first input of a comparator 18 . The second input is supplied with a reference voltage U1ref, which is derived from the DC voltage at the output of the power supply 2 . The comparator 18 converts the oscillator output signal into a square-wave voltage with a 24 V stroke. A low-pass filter 19 with a relatively large time constant relative to the oscillator frequency develops a signal corresponding to the arithmetic mean of the square-wave voltage fed in by the comparator. With a uniform pulse duty factor, ie error-free operation, this voltage moves to the value of half the operating voltage and the switching threshold preset on a downstream comparator 20 runs through a second reference voltage U2ref. If instead of a uniform oscillator clock at output 63 a sequence of pulse packets is output, ie the preceding circuit is faulty, the arithmetic mean formed by low-pass filter 19 is only a quarter of the reference voltage, which is not sufficient to pass through the threshold of comparator 20 . The comparator 20 then remains in the idle state.

If all of the preceding components work correctly, the switching threshold of the second comparator 20 is passed by the low-pass output signal, and a signal is generated at the output 21 of the second comparator. The output 21 is followed by a trigger circuit 22 which, in the embodiment shown, has a series circuit comprising a resistor 23 , a capacitor 24 and a diode 25 . The charge stored in the trigger capacitor 24 is given in the case of a signal at the output 21 to a relay 26 , which thereby picks up briefly. However, the trigger surge when capacitor 24 is charged is not sufficient to hold relay 26 . The relay 26 is held by the rectifier 9 acting as a charge pump, which is acted upon by the output pulses of the first comparator 18 . However, the rectifier 9 only receives an alternating voltage suitable for holding the relay 26 when the oscillator 6 oscillates properly, that is to say there is also a flame. The relay 26 switches the relay 10 a, which, like the relay 10 in the embodiment according to FIG. 1, serves as a flame monitoring relay.

The arrangements according to FIGS. 1 and 2 show that a unconditionally reliable and suitable for continuous operation flame monitoring is achieved with a few, relatively simple circuit components.

Within the framework of the inventive concept, numerous modifications are possible. Thus, the rectangular oscillator 6 can also be replaced by other circuits which, when supplied with the direct current from the ionization circuit, generate a dynamic output signal. The evaluation circuit 9 , 10 , 14 can also be implemented in a different, possibly known manner. The connection of a charge pump circuit proves to be advantageous (although not absolutely necessary) since it makes the system less sensitive to external influences.
