Description
The invention relates to an awning valance textile fabrics or the like for the conclusion of a Awning attached to its upper edge by means of a holding profile the awning can be attached. The valance completes the Awning and hanging more or less long in a den front end of the supporting structure of the awning Holding profile. The drooping valance is said to be both sun protection as well as wind protection as well as ornament or also as advertising space serve among other things. It turns out to be disadvantageous that in the wind the valance flutters back and forth, more or less strong disruptive noises and strong winds strikes up and also on the awning or at retracted awning dirty on awning protection roof. In the DE-OS 27 43 075 is one such example Awning valance shown.
An awning or roller blind is known from DE-OS 32 25 099, that extends vertically and to cover a window with the top edge running horizontally inclined. This well-known awning is along two adjacent Pages guided, namely on the one hand on a vertical side in held a vertically extending take-up reel and the other along the top edge with another Fixed lines. This is called the vertical awning Awning according to DE-OS 32 25 099 is parallel to the winding axis equipped with rigid rods for stiffening in order to Tilting or sagging of the top edge, d. H. the out the horizontal inclined free hanging edge of the Prevent awning while raising the lower one Edge of the awning by guiding the awning to yours vertical edges is avoided.
From DE-OS 32 38 378 it is known textile fabrics parallel to the winding axis on the side edges with itself in extending substantially parallel to the winding axis equip stiffening substances. This is supposed to enables uniform winding of textile fabrics will.
From GB-PS 714 595 a Rouleau is known which is parallel to its winding device and in the case shown vertically to its direction of fall with stiffening elements, namely rigid rigid rods, can be equipped.
From EP 0208 103 an awning is known, which as Flat roof awning is executed and no free-hanging valance having. The front end of the awning is in a drop bar guided, which can be moved back and forth in side guides is. The drop bar as a holding element for the front edge of the Awning fabric extends parallel to the winding axis of the Awning.
A tarpaulin for awnings is known from DE-OS 29 46 699, the pockets parallel to the winding axis of the tarpaulin has, in which rigid rods can be inserted to the tarpaulin hang up. This is also the end of such a tarpaulin forming valance free-hanging, but completely without Stiffening parts.
The Rouleau known from DE-OS 39 12 528 is also with parallel to the winding axis and thus to the direction of fall extending stiffening slats equipped so that also the last free hanging part of the rouleau from one flexible unstiffened material.
The invention is based, flutter and the task Curb up the awning valance.
This task is accomplished by equipping a generic Awning valance with elastic in the direction of fall Valance-extending stiffening parts released.
The awning valance is usually made of the same material how the awning cover is made, namely textile Fabrics, such as high quality weatherproof and tearproof fabrics, Cloths or the like. These cloths are easily deformable and flutter in the wind and are often flipped up. Through the stiffening parts according to the invention attached to the valance the valance partially stiffens so that the flutter is prevented or is damped and the upstroke also due to the Elasticity of the stiffening parts through implementation in Shape change dampened and the wind forces are used up, so that ultimately the turning up can no longer take place. In particular, the invention generates noise prevented by fluttering ruffles, and also pollution of the valance prevented by raising it to the awning.
The stiffening parts advantageously have an elongated and flat shape, so that they act in the manner of spiral springs can. The stiffening parts are advantageous at a distance from each other and essentially from the top of the Valance to the lower edge of the valance in the direction of the fall the awning suspended valance extending to the valance appropriate. So the stiffening parts offer compared to the Wind attack on the valance the greatest possible Resistance to deformation and prevent the bending of the Valances or reduce this bending. The number of stiffening parts required to make a valance so stiffen that he can no longer flip up completely, depends on the size of the valance, d. H. both after its length according to the awning width as well as according to the free hanging height of the valance and also according to its shape.
Both the awning coverings and the associated ruffles made of textile fabrics from several parts composed, the valance at the junctions is connected via lockstitch seams, as well along the side margins with double lockstitch seams be sewn on. In a further development of the invention suggested that the stiffening parts in from to side Hem folds and other connection points of the valance trained lockstitch seams are plugged in. The invention therefore uses the usual existing lockstitch seams of the valance to make this as Bracket for the stiffening parts to use. At the same time these lockstitch seams run and the one between them formed small seam pocket in the fall direction of the valance, so in the direction that is essentially to be stiffened. These seam pockets are on the bottom edge of the valance closed, for example by hem bands or sewing. There the valance is gripped in the holding profile along its upper edge is provided that the stiffening parts in essential about the free hanging parts of the valance extend, i.e. when inserted into the seam pockets the upper one Release the part of the valance to be clamped in the holding profile.
However, it is also possible to place the stiffening parts on the To attach valance, both on the front or the back. If the stiffening parts on the front of the ruffles, they should also be one Ornamental function or an advertising function that the technical function is superimposed. For example, the Stiffening parts can be glued to the valance. It is however, it is also possible to use them, for example Velcro fasteners to attach to the valance, the corresponding Velcro parts on the valance and on the Stiffening part must be attached beforehand. For example the Velcro parts can be sewn onto the valance.
The flexurally elastic stiffening parts are preferably made of weatherproof plastic with large elastic Resilience produced, such as based of polycarbonate. However, it is also possible to be elastic Stiffening particles made of stainless steel, such as Spring steel. The stiffening parts are used for Shock absorption and damping of the fluttering movement of the valance Exposure to wind. The invention with stiffening parts equipped ruffles are against fluttering both in extended state as well as in the retracted state of the Awning protected.
Es zeigen The invention is illustrated in the drawing using exemplary embodiments explained. Show it

The awning 1 shown schematically in Fig. 1 in the view is located in the extended state. The awning is fastened in the area 7 to a house wall or the like, the fastening devices with an awning protection roof and the bearing roller for the awning covering 10 not being shown. The awning is extended and retracted using articulated arms, not shown. On the front edge of the awning cover is a holding profile with cover strip 2 for holding the awning valance 11 hanging loosely in the direction of the arrow, see arrow F. The awning valance 11 will flutter back and forth in the direction of the arrow P when the wind is blowing, and if the wind is correspondingly strong, it can also open upwards over the cover strip 2 onto the awning fabric or, when retracted, onto the awning protection roof and be soiled in the process. The width of the awning cover 10 and the valance 11 is usually composed of several individual fabric parts which are connected at the connection points by lockstitch seams 3 . These double lockstitch seams 3 run in the valance in the direction of the arrow F, ie the direction of fall of the suspended valance. Furthermore, the side edges of the awning covering and the valance are also turned over and the hem envelopes are fastened with lockstitch seams 3 .
The lower edge 114 of the valance 11 is usually profiled, for example corrugated or provided with incisions, it can be straight, colored hem bands or fringes can also be provided. The valance 11 is equipped with stiffening inserts 6 in the form of rods, which are arranged in the area of the lockstitch seams 3 . The stiffening parts 6 are made of elastic plastic with sufficient flexural rigidity and have a large elastic deformability, which is able to dampen the fluttering movement of the valance due to the effects of wind. The stiffening parts 6 are and act like spiral springs, they extend approximately from the lower edge 114 of the valance to the area of the cover strip 2 , so that the valance 11 can hang freely, but hinders the upward movement, ie is already caught by the stiffening parts 6 . The stiffening parts 6 should always reset completely so that the valance 11 hangs in the normal direction of fall F. The number and size of the required stiffening parts 6 and their arrangement on the valance depends on the size of the valance, its free-hanging height, its shape. In a valance shape as shown in FIG. 1 with a constant fall height H, stiffening parts are provided at least in the area of the two side edges 111 , 112 and in the middle, possibly also in intermediate areas.
In FIG. 2, a further embodiment of a valance is schematically 11 illustrated an awning 1, wherein there are provided corresponding to the valance shape only in an area on both sides of the middle two stiffening members 6 are each connected in seam pockets of the fabric pieces of the valance and thus existing lockstitch seams 3 . It is also possible, according to FIG. 3, to provide only a single stiffening part 6 in the central region of the valance, which extends over the entire height of the freely hanging valance 11 , in the direction of arrow F, which is also capable of providing sufficient rigidity and spring elasticity to absorb the wind forces and to dampen the fluttering and beating of the valance and to prevent it from turning.
The advantageous attachment of the stiffening parts 6 , in rod form, as shown in FIG. 6 in supervision, in the seam pockets formed by lockstitch seams 3 is shown in part in FIGS . 4 and 5. In the view of the valance 11 according to FIG. 4 in the edge region, the hem fold 101 is made to the rear and sewn on with the double lockstitch seam 3 . The lockstitch seam usually has a distance a between 12 and 14 mm. The stiffening part 6 is inserted into this seam pocket 4 formed by the lockstitch seam 3 . The valance 11 is always hemmed on the lower edge, ie the double lockstitch seam 3 is also closed, or hemmed by means of a hem band 5 or provided with fringes or the like. The stiffening part 6 can be inserted into the seam pocket 4 from above. Since the valance 11 is held at its upper edge 115 in the holding profile of the awning and is possibly connected to the awning cover, the stiffening part 6 does not extend over the entire height of the valance, but only over the part calculated from the lower edge 114 , which after the Bracket on the awning frame and holding profile hangs freely.
From Fig. 5 shows how the reinforcing member 6 in the seam pocket 4 formed by the lockstitch seam 3, is inserted.
If there are no lockstitch seams on the awning valance, the stiffening parts 6 can also be attached to the valance in other ways, for example small pockets can be sewn onto the back of the valance, into which stiffening parts can be inserted. It is also possible to glue stiffening parts to the valance or to detachably fasten them with Velcro straps. The preferred embodiment of the invention shown here takes advantage of the existing design of the awning and the awning valance and integrates the stiffening inserts into the usually predetermined structure of the valance.
