Description

The invention relates to a satellite receiving system according to the Preamble of claim 1, currently only TV channels affected are because FM audio broadcast channels do not yet have their own transponders be emitted by satellites.

The 1st satellite intermediate frequency range (0.95 to 1.75 GHz) offers a bandwidth of 800 MHz for signal transmission. In this volume can each have 20 FM TV channels with a bandwidth of 27 MHz each (Frequency swing 13.5 MHz / V) for each of the two polarizations (left- and clockwise circular), a total of 40 DBS channels transmitted the channel spacing is 19.18 MHz. Since all even numbers channels are assigned to left-handed circular polarization and all odd-numbered channels of the right-handed circular polar sation, there is a DBS channel grid of for each polarization 2 x 19.18 = 38.36 MHz.

Die DBS-Satelliten (z. B. TV-Sat . . . , TDF . . The DBS satellites (e.g. TV-Sat..., TDF...) Occupy a channel bandwidth te of 27 MHz, with which the described channel grid of the 1st satellite Intermediate frequency range can be optimally filled. The channels of the Communication satellites (Eutel-Sat..., Intel-Sat...) Point against it a channel bandwidth of 36 MHz, so that with their (co) transmission in the 1st satellite intermediate frequency range according to their type number in individual cases considerably less than the 40 channels mentioned Have space.

The invention is therefore based on the object of  Receiving system of the type specified in the preamble of claim 1 to further develop such that even when transmitting communication satellite channels - be it exclusively or together with DBS- Channels - in the 1st satellite intermediate frequency range an optimal Ka Allocation is possible.

This object is achieved by the in the characterizing part of the features listed solved. It is the expedient Frequency divider designed in digital technology is a filter upstream, which selects the respective channel and the broadband suppressed noise.

Due to the frequency deviation reduction by frequency division according to the invention, a complete occupancy of the DBS-Kanalra sters in the 1st satellite intermediate frequency range is also made possible in the transmission of FM channels with a wider bandwidth than DBS channels. The invention is therefore of course not limited to the reception of signals from the currently radiating communication satellites (possibly together with those of DBS satellites), but also includes - in the future possibly broadcast - FM signals whose channel bandwidth is at least approximately an even multiple (n) of the raster channel bandwidth in the 1st satellite intermediate frequency range, the digital frequency divider then having the division factor n .

In one embodiment of the satellite reception according to the invention location according to claim 2, the advantage is achieved that both mention te input filter, as well as a frequency divider for suppression the filter connected by this harmonics is not must be tunable and therefore simple and inexpensive to manufacture is cash. In addition, at lower frequencies there are better filter selections realizable properties.

Dabei zeigtThe invention is illustrated in the figures below, for example  explained. It shows

Fig. 2 das Blockschaltbild einer darin enthaltenen Umsetzereinheit. Fig. 2 shows the block diagram of a converter unit contained therein.

Satelliten-Zwischenfrequenzbereich umgesetzt und einem ersten Verteiler V 1 zugeleitet.DBS signals are received in a first satellite receiving antenna SA 1 , converted into channels of the DBS channel grid in the first satellite intermediate frequency range in an integrated "outdoor unit" OU 1 and fed to a first distributor V 1 .

Channels of a communication satellite (eg ECS 1) are received with a second satellite receiving antenna SA 2 , converted into free areas of the 1st satellite intermediate frequency range by means of an outdoor unit OU 2 and fed to a second distributor V 2 . This is followed by a converter unit UE 1 to UE 5 for each of five useful channels, in which the channels are each converted to a lower frequency, divided by the factor 2 and converted into a free channel in the channel grid of the 1st satellite intermediate frequency range. The outputs of the converter units UE 1 to UE 5 are interconnected via a third distributor V 3 and fed to the first distributor V 1 , the output line L of which distributes the signals in a subsequent communal or cable system.

Each converter unit UE 1 to UE 5 consists, successively from the input E to the output A, comprising of a, a variable frequency oscillator O 1 and a mixer M 1 down-converter U 1, a fixed off-tuned first filter F 1, a control amplifier RV, a digita len frequency divider FT , a fixed second filter F 2 , egg nem a tunable oscillator O 2 and a mixer M 2 send up converter U 2 , a post amplifier NV and a tunable filter F 3 .

Ein in der Outdoor-Unit OU 2 in den 1. Satelliten-Zwischenfrequenz bereich umgesetzter Kanal (z. A channel converted in the outdoor unit OU 2 into the 1st satellite intermediate frequency range (e.g. channel "Italy" from transponder 1 of ECS 1, center frequency f M 11.007667 GHz / 1.007667 GHz) is shown in Ab down converter U 1 in a second intermediate frequency position (f M = 480 MHz, hub = 25 MHz / V) implemented. In the subsequent first (input) filter F 1 (480 MHz), this channel is filtered out in a highly selective manner and the broadband noise is reduced below a non-disturbing value. The bandwidth corresponds to the frequency swing of the channel mentioned of 36 MHz. The control amplifier RV provides the subsequent frequency divider FT with the constant input level required by it. In the frequency divider FT , the frequency of the channel and thus its frequency deviation is divided by a factor of 2 (f M = 240 MHz, stroke = 12.5 MHz / V), so that the bandwidth is now only 18 MHz instead of 36 MHz.

This signal is freed from harmonics generated by the digital frequency divider FT in a second filter F 2 (240 MHz) and then in the up converter U 2 into a free channel of the 1st satellite intermediate frequency range (e.g. channel 3, f M = 1.01584 GHz) implemented. The output signal of the up converter U 2 now fits through the described bandwidth reduction in the DBS channel grid of the 1st satellite intermediate frequency range, so that it can be fully occupied with 40 channels and can thus be optimally used in a simple manner. In the post-amplifier NV the signal is raised to a level suitable for feeding into the distribution network; in the subsequent third (output) filter F 3 , disturbing secondary outlets (oscillator frequency, image frequency or mixed products) are also suppressed.
