Vorliegende Erfindung stellt eine Vorrichtung dar, die den Zweck hat, ein schnelleres
und bequemeres Schwimmen zu erreichen, insbesondere auch beim Dauerschwimmen die
Leistung ganz bedeutend zu erhöhen. Es sind bereits derartige Vorrichtungen bekanntgeworden,
die aber in ihrer Ausführungsform verschiedene Nachteile halben und1 deshalb zu
einem Erfolg nacht führten.
ίο Bei vorliegender Erfindung ist die Anordnung des Mechanismus zur Verbreiterung
der Druckfläche der Fußsohle gegenüber den bekannten Ausführungen so getroffen, daß
beim Anziehen des Fußes das Wasser durch die in dieser Periode keilförmig umgelegte

Die ganze Vorrichtung ist an einer Sohlplatte α gelagert, die entsprechend kleiner
<gestaltet sein muß als die Fußsohle, damit beim Anziehen der Füße das Wasser keinen Widerstand
findet, und welche durch entsprechende Riemen o. dgl. Vorrichtungen b am Fuße angeschnallt
wird. Unter der Platte α !befinden sich zwei aufgeschraubte Lager c und d, in
denen Stäbe e, f, g, h und i, der mittlere fest, die äußeren drehbar, gelagert sind, vergleichsweise
die Zehen eines Entenfußes bildend, zwischen denen ein geeigneter gummierter Stoff k, die Schwimmhaut bildend, befestigt
ist. Die äußeren Zehenstäbe e, f, h und i sind beim Austritt aus dem Lager e entsprechend
geknickt, so daß das freie Ende derselben mit lern gelagerten Teil einen entsprechenden
Winkel bildet. Dadurch -wird erreicht, daß diese beim Anziehen des Fußes, durch das
Wasser gedrückt, nach hinten schlagen und mit der Schwimmhaut k einen Keil bilden,
