BESCHREIBUNGDESCRIPTION
DesodorisationsmittelDeodorant
The invention relates to a deodorant, in particular one to effectively remove bad or aggressive odors from surface compounds, such as Methyl mercaptan, capable deodorant.
Weiterhin bilden die aus großen Industriebetrieben, z.B.There has long been a need to suppress or remove the offensive odors caused by the compulsory temporary storage of materials such as undried garbage and garbage in the vicinity of residential buildings. Furthermore, from large industrial companies, e.g.
Sewage treatment plants, fish factories, fish powder factories, beef or chicken waste drying plants and paper mills, unpleasant smells are a social problem. It should also be an uncomfortable one Bad breath and the bad odor given off by dirty feet and sweating are effective suppressed or removed.
A wide variety of malodorous compounds are known. A common cause Of the problems outlined here, in particular, form sulfur compounds, such as hydrogen sulfide and methyl mercaptan. There has been no lack of attempts, the bad ones caused by sulfur compounds Smell for example with the help of sodium copper
JP-OS 53-66434).chlorophyllin, 1,4-naphthoquinone, flavone and in extracts from Thea sinensis L belonging to the Theaceae To remove catechol (see JP-OS 53-66434).
The use of sodium copper chlorophylline as well as of Flavone and catechol are not particularly advantageous in that the deodorant effects of these compounds is relatively weak. Furthermore, 1,4-naphthoquinone loses its ability to deodorize Ethanol and is difficult to store in deodorants. In addition, 1,4-naphthoquinone has a relatively high toxicity and not considered sufficiently safe for humans. Consequently, there is a significant There is a need for non-toxic and highly effective deodorants that are effective against those of sulfur compounds, such as hydrogen sulfide and methyl mercaptan are able to remove bad odor emanating from and retain their deodorisability even in ethanol.
The invention was based on the object of providing a deodorant free from the disadvantages outlined with a strong deodorization effect against sulfur compounds such as hydrogen sulfide and methyl mercaptan, to develop.
The invention is thus a deodorant, which is characterized in that it is as effective deodorization component at least one compound from the group 5,6-dihydroxyflavone, derivatives thereof, 5,6-dihydroxyflavavone and derivatives thereof, contains.

Following the test procedure described below for Determination of the deodorization power, the deodorization power of baicalein is determined. Sodium copper chlorophylline is used for comparison purposes.
Aus dem Methylmercaptangehalt errechnet sich der prozentuale Desodorisationsgrad wie folgt:1 ml of an aqueous solution or ethanolic solution of various amounts of a sample, ie a deodorising substance, and 1.5 ml of a 0.1 M phosphate buffer solution are filled into a test tube with an internal volume of about 22-23 ml. The only controls used are water or ethanol. The pH of the solution is 7.5. Thereafter, the test tubes with 0.5 ml of 10 vol .-% aqueous ethanol with 1 ug / ml of methyl mercaptan, that is 0.5 \ ig methyl mercaptan charged. After the test tube is closed immediately with a silicone rubber stopper, the contents of the tube are shaken vigorously for 1 m. Then the test tube is left to stand for 6 minutes at a temperature of 37 ° C. Then 5 ml of air are blown into the test tube through the silicone rubber stopper using a gas syringe for gas chromatography. After vigorous shaking of the test tube for 30 s, 5 ml of gas are withdrawn from the headspace of the test tube using the same gas syringe and blown into a commercially available gas chromatograph. In this way the content of methyl mercaptan in the sample can be determined. The percentage of deodorization is calculated from the methyl mercaptan content as follows:
C-S
Desodorisationsgrad = —=— χ 100 (%)CS
Degree of deodorization = - = - χ 100 (%)
In der Gleichung bedeuten:In the equation:
C = Methylmercaptangehalt der Kontrollprobe, S = Methylmercaptangehalt der Probe.C = methyl mercaptan content of the control sample, S = methyl mercaptan content of the sample.
In the test, baicalein is used as an ethanolic solution, Baicalin used as an aqueous solution and sodium copper chlorophylline as an ethanolic solution.
The results are shown graphically in the drawing. In the drawing, the sample quantities are corresponding 500 ng of methyl mercaptan are plotted on the abscissa, the degrees of deodorization on the ordinate. on in this way, the relationship between the sample amounts and the degrees of deodorization can be shown in the drawing remove. In the drawing, A stands for baicalin, B for baicalein and C for sodium copper chlorophylline.
The results shown graphically in the drawing show at a degree of deodorization of 80% that the The deodorizing power of baicalein is about 30 times and that of baicalin about 6 times greater than the deodorizing power of sodium copper chlorophylline. It follows that a deodorant according to the present invention is strong and has good deodorizing effect against methyl mercaptan.
