Abstract

Description

The invention relates to a contact lens for producing Incisions in the cornea of the eye.

Many eye diseases are based on changes the refractive system of the eye, e.g. belong to this astigmatism and keratoconus. Other crane can be adjusted by adjusting the refractive index Relieve systemic anatomical malformations. For this include, for example, hyperopia and myopia.

With these diseases or anomalies is a surgeon known treatment, i.a. by Change in the refractive power of the cornea. In doing so with the scalpel cuts in an appropriate arrangement introduced into the cornea to increase its refractive power change.

Regardless, it is also known at the Treatment of eye diseases using laser light the, and corresponding attempts are already under been taken to use the laser light with cuts made according to a scalpel Make cuts in the cornea. A disadvantage of These attempts were, however, that these cuts were not right producible and precisely inserted into the cornea could become.

The invention is therefore based on the object Propose contact lens with the reproducible and exactly cuts are made in the cornea of the eye can.

This task is solved with the characteristics according to claim 1.

In a preferred embodiment, a contact lens proposed as set out in claims 2-4 is specified.

The invention and the advantages resulting from the solution according to the invention should follow will be explained with reference to the drawings, wherein these in a simplified representation different Show patterns in a contact lens.

According to the invention, a contact lens is first placed on the cornea, and this can be a hard or soft contact lens, which can only consist of a corneal part, but which can also have a scleral part. This contact lens can, for example, be coated with a material that reflects the laser light. Examples include an aluminum coating or a dielectric coating. The lens 1 is, as the FIGS. 1 and 2 are intended to indicate, provided with patterns, which may be perforations accordingly arranged densely or else gap-shaped recesses 2 . It is useful if there is a fixation gap 3 in the central region of the lens through which the patient can see through, in order to keep the eye still in this way. It should be noted in this connection that even minor riots do not interfere, since the entire eye itself is illuminated homogeneously.

After hanging up with these perforations or Cut lens on the cornea, can by means of a suitable laser light, which on the  Lenticular patterns are reproducible and extreme cut exactly into the cornea. An over moderate heating of the lens is appropriate choice of the lens material or the coating of the lens not to be expected.
