Abstract
A defect notification for damage or reusability of a protective helmet after an accident with the same, which enables the layman to easily recognize defects in the same after an accident with a protective helmet, is not only a great safety solution for the helmet user in terms of reusability of the helmet, Instead, it enables him - which was previously not possible - to present hidden defects that have occurred after an accident, automatically recognizable to everyone, at no cost and without further technical help, in order to be able to easily enforce recourse claims for the first time; In addition, the ability to localize the damage to the helmet allows the course of the accident to be reconstructed to a limited extent.
Description
B)The invention relates to a protective helmet according to the preamble of claim 1. In such a helmet from the protective helmet known from DE-GM 82 30 583 is used as a signal system for early detection of the wearer to ensure in poor visibility. This is used in the helmet according to the invention Signaling system for the detection of damage to the helmet. B)
After accidents are after all safety precautions Damage to helmets can only be detected if they can be seen from the outside. It is absolutely impossible for laypeople to decide after an accident whether a helmet is reusable or not, as the layman neither Neither are internal structural cracks nor regressions that occurred during the accident can determine how an interior upholstery that cannot be regenerated again. Therefore, it arises when it is reused a high security risk. According to Heidelberg University, Institute for Forensic Medicine, expert Dipl.-Ing. Florian Schüler, there are only 500 helmet accidents 3% of the helmets are reusable, but damage recognizable by laypeople is extremely seldom recognized can. In addition, insurance companies in almost all countries in which helmets are compulsory do not accept liability insurance- 60 C) generally sell off the helmet if the damage to the same by the injured party cannot be proven, what due to the high technical effort and the costs that often exceed the value of the helmet is practically impossible.
Daraus ergibt sich folgende Aufgabenstellung:This results in the following task:
Starting from a protective helmet of the type mentioned, a protective helmet is to be created which Optical fibers run through a miniature battery-powered light source and optocoupler the helmet shell and emerge visible individually at defined points. The location of the embedded Optical fibers in the helmet shell are visibly transmitted to the helmet surface. While closing of a test switch, the light source in the collective junction of the optocoupler and the ends light up the optical fibers; in the event of a crack, breakage or severe flexing of the helmet shell at any point breaks an optical fiber, whereby its fiber exit remains dark in the test circuit. It is not by it only indicated the non-reusability of the protective helmet, but it can be thereby prove where the helmet was damaged, which can also be conditional in retrospect Allow conclusions to be drawn about the course of the accident.
In the entire inner padding of the helmet, a film with a tightly nested current conductor is inserted (cast / embedded) in such a way that the current conductor closes in a protected place on the helmet with a miniature battery, a normally open switch and a miniature lamp or LED when the switch is tested Forms circuit, the lamp or light emitting diode lights up. In the event of excessive deformation or excessive pressure on the inner padding of the helmet, in the event of a break or tear, the conductor of the inserted film embedded in this way is interrupted; When the closing switch is tested, the display remains dark, indicating that the interior padding of the helmet cannot be reused.
The defect indication mentioned above under point "B" can also be built into the outer shell as a simplified variant, although the localization of the defect on the helmet itself is omitted.
