Zur zwangsläufigen Entleerung eines Filtergehäuses mit einem Filtereinsatz beim Wechsel eines Filters, der der Reinigung von Schmieröl einer Brennkraftmaschine dient, ist der Innenraum des Filtergehäuses über eine in Einbaulage des Filters durch ein Schraubgewinde zur Befestigung des Filtergehäuses abgedeckte Öffnung mit einem zum Kurbelgehäuse der Brennkraftmaschine führenden Kanal verbindbar. Es wird somit eine zwangsläufige Entleerung des gesamten Filtergehäuses 1 eim Abschrauben der Baueinheit 3 erreicht.
