In den Fig. 1 bis 8 ist eine erste Ausführungsform der er findungsgemäßen Konsole zur Aufnahme eines langgestreckten Steckschlüssels dargestellt. Die Konsole besteht aus einem L-förmigen Grundkörper 10 und einem in den Grundkörper eingreifenden Einsteckteil 12. Die Konsole 10 weist eine Rückwand 14 und ein Basisteil 16 auf, das rechtwinklig zur Rückwand nach vorn steht. Auf einer Seite gekrümmt ausgebildete Versteifungswinkel dienen zur Verstärkung an der Verbindungsstelle von Rückwand und Basisteil. Die Rück wand weist eine nach innen zu konisch verlaufende recht winklige, hier quadratische, Öffnung 20 auf, die durch ei nen erhöhten Rand auf der Rückseite der Rückwand verstärkt ist. Der zylindrische Teil oder Schaft 60 wird dann in die U-förmige Ausnehmung 28 der Basisplatte eingeschoben, wonach das Einsteckteil 12 aufgeschoben wird. Zu diesem Zweck werden die Führungskanten der Plat te 38 zunächst gegenüber den zugeordneten Schienen 34 ausgerichtet und nach oben zu über einen kleinen Winkel verdreht. Die Zuordnung und das Verschwenken des Ein steckteils 12 werden durch die abgeschrägten Kanten 44 bzw. 46 erleichtert. In dieser Position liegen die Nasen 50 der Rasten 48 an den Gleitflächen 36 an, so daß die Rasten 48 beim weiteren Einschieben auf der Unterseite der Basisplatte 16 richtig geführt werden, ohne daß sie ver kanten oder hängenbleiben können. In dieser Stellung bilden die U-förmige Aus nehmung 28 und der Schlitz 52 in der Basisplatte 16 und die Platte 38 gemeinsam eine im wesentlichen kreisförmige Öffnung (vgl. Fig. 2 und 5), in der der Griff des Steck schlüssels 56 gehalten ist. Das in dieser Weise gehaltene Werkzeug kann schnell herausgenommen werden, wozu es le diglich erforderlich ist, das Einsteckteil 12 herauszuzie hen. Hierzu werden zunächst die Rasten 48 aus den Kerben 62 nach unten gedrückt, wie in Fig. 4 durch die kleinen Pfeile angedeutet ist. Umgekehrt läßt sich das Werkzeug leicht wieder einsetzen, indem der abgewinkelte Vierkant 58 in die quadratische Öffnung 20 eingesetzt wird und an schließend das Einsteckteil wieder aufgeschoben wird. Zum Einsetzen des Werkzeugs wird nun das nach unten gebogene Ende des Hakens 72 in die axiale Ausnehmung 75 des Kopfteils ein gesetzt und das Werkzeug dann so gedreht, daß der Schaft 74 in den Schlitz 76 der Abstützung und die Ausnehmung 28 in der Basisplatte 16 hineinrutscht. In Fig. 12 ist eine weitere Ausführungsform anhand einer Konsole 84 beschrieben, die als Verpackung für einen Schraubendreher 86 dient. Die Konsole 84 gleicht in ihrem Aufbau weitgehend der Konsole 68 nach den Fig. 9 bis 11, wobei nur die Teile oberhalb der Abstützung 70 entfallen und andere Abmessungen gewählt wurden. Der Schaft 88 des Werkzeugs 86 liegt hier in dem C-förmigen Schlitz 76 der Abstützung, die den Schaft teilweise umschließt und ihn so gegen Herausfallen sichert. Der Griff 90 des Werkzeugs weist ein verjüngtes Teil 92 auf, das in der durch die Ausnehmung 28 der Basisplatte 16 und den Schlitz 52 des Einsteckteils 12 gebildeten Öffnung liegt.
