Abstract

A method for the edge-sealing of insulation glass units, wherein the insulation glass units are introduced on a feed conveyor device into a positioning and work station, are sealed at the edges therein with the aid of a sealing-head arrangement, which is guided on a sealing traversing arrangement which is displaceable in and counter to the feed direction, and are then carried away by a delivery conveyor device, and wherein the sealing traversing arrangement extends transversely to the feed and delivery direction. Two insulation glass units located one after the other are introduced simultaneously into two insulation glass unit receivers of the positioning and work station located one after the other in the feed direction. The two insulation glass units are simultaneously sealed at the edges by two sealing heads guided on two sealing cross arms, and then carried away simultaneously with the aid of the delivery conveyor device. The method is carried out using arrangements in which two insulation glass unit receivers are arranged one after the other in the feed and delivery direction and, correspondingly, two sealing cross arms, each having a sealing head, are provided. <IMAGE>
