Abstract

This magneto- and phototherapeutic device combines the known favourable effects of medical therapy with pulsating magnetic fields and pulsating electromagnetic waves with frequencies in the vicinity of visible light. Both sources, that for the magnetic field and that for the light, are fed by the same control device and are spatially arranged in such a way that both energy qualities act upon a closely confined area whose size corresponds to the surface of the sources. The same control device can also operate several such pairs of sources comprising magnetic dipoles and light sources which are simultaneously placed on different sites. The sources of one pair are matched to one another in such a way that both intensities, that is, the magnetic induction and the light intensity, can be adjusted in the effective range by only one intensity adjuster in the control device.
