Abstract

The hand-operated (price) labelling unit prints and dispenses self-adhesive labels. It comprises a housing containing a print unit (7) with roller (5) which is rotatable about an axis (6) between a rest and a print position and carries strips (9) with printing type (9a). A rotatable adjusting spindle (8) using knob (19) is tangential to the roller and can be axially moved to engage one of the strips for adjusting the corresponding digit to be printed. Stops (22 and 23) on the spindle and on the housing respectively engage mutually when the roller is rotated into the print position to move the spindle into its pushed-in position and thus prevent damage to the type adjusting mechanism.
