Abstract

The computer operation requires special systems for flowing coolants, such as water or fluorated carbohydrates in liquid condition. In modular units, it is necessary to provide an easy connection between them. A rigid connecting pipe (10) is used the inner end of which has at least one lateral opening. It carries a slide for its connection such that it can be moved from a position completely covering the side opening into a position releasing the same. The connecting pipe carries a clamping ring between its other open end and the slider, connecting a plug element with the respective module. A coaxial spring (36) on the connecting pipe between the clamping ring and the slide is held so that the slider is moved to the end piece when the plug is pulled out of its sleeve, returning to its starting position in contact with the endpiece. A sleeve socket (12) protrudes with its open end from the next module, having at least one hole in its side wall in the direction of the second module. The hole is closable by a piston sliding in the socket.
