Description
The invention relates to a lamp, in particular a reading lamp.
It is known from obvious prior use that reading lights can be fitted with incandescent bulbs, halogen lamps or energy-saving lamps. The disadvantage of these lamps is that they produce a lot of heat, especially when the light output is high. In addition, the light produced often contains a UV component that can destroy illuminated objects made of organic material. In addition, incandescent bulbs and energy-saving lamps are relatively bulky, so that the construction of compact lamps is not possible.
The invention is based on the object of providing a luminaire which overcomes the disadvantages of the prior art.
The object is achieved by the features of claim 1. The essence of the invention consists in providing a lamp with a lamp head in which white light emitting diodes are arranged, which serve as a light source.

A lamp 1 has a base plate 2, a support arm 3 connected to it and a lamp head 4 attached to the free end of the support arm 3. The lamp 1 serves in particular as a reading lamp for applications in air traffic control. It is therefore arranged in Fig. 1 on a schematically shown desk 5, which is located in the towers of airports. The lamp 1 illuminates in particular a display surface 6.
The lamp head 4 is connected to an electrical supply unit 8 via an electrical line 7 arranged in the support arm 3, which in turn can be connected to the electrical network, i.e. 220 volts AC, via a line 9 and a power plug 10. The support arm 3 is flexible and designed with sufficient inherent rigidity so that the position of the lamp head 4 can be changed by hand on the one hand and the lamp head 4 is stable in a desired position on the other.
In dem Gehäuse 11 istThe light head 4 has a housing 11 connected to the support arm 3, which is open towards its free end. A large number of light-emitting diodes 12 are arranged in the housing 11 and are electrically connected to the line 7. The light-emitting diodes are so-called white light LEDs (light emitting diodes). These produce light that is very similar to sunlight in terms of color temperature and the distribution of the individual frequency components. It is also possible to arrange light-emitting diodes of different primary colors next to one another so that the different color components overlap to form white light. Corresponding white light-emitting diodes 12 are available from, among others, the company Oshino Lamps (Europe) GmbH in Nuremberg, Germany, under the product names SOW 54200 and SOW 54330. More than 20 and in particular more than 48 light-emitting diodes 12 can be arranged in the housing. The voltage provided by the supply unit 8 is set in such a way that it is suitable for the light-emitting diodes 12, that is to say in particular 28 volts direct current. The light-emitting diodes 12 can be arranged in any way in the housing 11, as shown in Figure 2. It is also possible to combine seven light-emitting diodes, as shown in Figure 3, into a honeycomb-shaped unit 13 and to arrange them on a circuit board. Several of these units 13 can then be arranged in the housing in the manner of a honeycomb. The advantage of combining the light-emitting diodes 12 into units 13 is that they are easier to handle and replace or assemble. The light-emitting diodes 12 are connected by a cover 14 screwed to the housing 11, in which a cover plate 15 made of glass forms the cover base. In the housing 11
Typische Einstellungen sind a = 15°, a = 45° oder a = 60°. 5A brightness control 16 is provided with which the brightness of the lamp 1 can be set between 0% and 100%. The light emission angle a can be set by selecting the shape of the cover 14. Typical settings are a = 15°, a = 45° or a = 60°. 5
The lamp 1 has numerous advantages. The emitted light has no UV component, so that the light has no destructive effect on organic material. It is therefore particularly suitable for illuminating museum objects. In addition, the heat development, i.e. the infrared component, is very low. This makes working in the light cone of the lamp 1 very pleasant and illuminated objects are not affected by the heat. The service life of the light-emitting diodes 12 is very long, for example over 100,000 burning hours, so that they essentially do not need to be replaced. Unlike lamps with incandescent filaments, the light-emitting diodes 12 are insensitive to mechanical vibrations and voltage and current peaks in the mains. Due to the high color temperature of the imitated light of up to 8,000 Kelvin, the color rendering authenticity is very good, for example Ra = 85. In addition, the energy consumption is very low. Furthermore, the lamp head 4 can be constructed very compactly in comparison to lamps with incandescent bulbs, halogen lamps or energy-saving lamps, since the light-emitting diodes 12 take up very little space and hardly any heat has to be dissipated.
It is also possible to attach the lamp head 4 directly to the ceiling or wall of a room. In this case, the support arm 3 would be omitted. It is also possible to install the lamp head 4 in showcases or open
The advantages mentioned above also apply to these applications.
