Claims (50)
1. Implantierbare medizinische Vorrichtung mit einer äuße
ren Oberfläche, die mindestens teilweise mit einer kon
turengetreuen Beschichtung aus einem hydrophoben elasto
meren Material bedeckt ist, das eine Menge eines biolo
gisch aktiven Materials darin aufweist für die zeitweise
Abgabe daraus, und einem mit der konturengetreuen Be
schichtung verbundenen Mittel, um nach der zeitweisen
Abgabe des biologisch aktiven Materials eine nicht-
thrombogene Oberfläche zu liefern.
2. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, wobei die konturengetreue
Beschichtung eine Menge eines fein verteilten biologisch
aktiven Materials in dem hydrophoben elastomeren Materi
al umfasst.
3. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 2, wobei das fein verteilte
biologisch aktive Material eine durchschnittliche Teil
chengröße von weniger als etwa 15 µm hat.
4. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 2, wobei das fein verteilte
biologisch aktive Material eine durchschnittliche Teil
chengröße von weniger als etwa 10 µm bei einer Wirk
stoffbeladung von etwa 25 bis 60 Gew.-% der konturenge
treuen Beschichtung hat.
5. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, wobei die konturengetreue
Beschichtung eine Menge eines biologisch aktiven Materi
als, das molekular in dem elastomeren Material verteilt
ist, enthält.
6. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, wobei das biologisch aktive
Material ausgewählt ist aus der Gruppe bestehend aus An
tithrombotika, Antikoagulantien, Antiplättchenmitteln,
Thrombolytika, antiproliferativen, steroidalen und nicht
steroidalen entzündungshemmenden Mitteln, Mitteln, die
Hyperplasie und insbesondere Restenose hemmen, Glatt
muskelzellinhibitoren, Wachstumsfaktoren, Wachstumsfak
torinhibitoren, Zelladhäsionsinhibitoren, Zelladhäsions
promotoren, Arzneimitteln, die die Bildung von gesundem
neointimalen Gewebe verstärken und Kombinationen davon.
7. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, wobei das hydrophobe elas
tomere Material ausgewählt ist aus der Gruppe bestehend
aus Siliconen, Polyurethanen, Ethylenvinylacetat-Copo
lymeren, Polyolefinelastomeren, Polyamidelastomeren und
EPDM-Kautschuken und Kombinationen davon.
8. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, wobei die konturengetreue
Beschichtung mehrere Schichten aus elastomerem Material
mit einer Menge an biologisch aktivem Material darin
aufweist.
9. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, wobei das mit der konturen
getreuen Beschichtung verbundene Mittel eine äußere
Schicht aufweist, die mindestens teilweise die konturen
getreue Beschichtung bedeckt, wobei die äußere Schicht
ein nicht-thrombogenes polymeres Material aufweist.
10. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 9, wobei das nicht-thrombogene
polymere Material ausgewählt ist aus der Gruppe beste
hend aus Fluorsilicon, Polyethylenglycol, Polysacchari
den und Phospholipiden und Kombinationen davon.
11. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 10, wobei das nicht-thrombo
gene polymere Material eine Fluorsiliconbeschichtung um
fasst, die an der konturengetreuen Beschichtung haftet.
12. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 10, wobei das nicht-thrombo
gene polymere Material ein Polyethylenglycol enthält,
das kovalent an eine aminierte konturengetreue Beschich
tung gebunden ist.
13. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, wobei die implantierte me
dizinische Vorrichtung aus Metall gebildet wird.
14. Expandierbarer Stent zur Implantation in einen Körper
mit einem röhrenförmigen Metallkörper mit offenen Enden
und einer offenen gitterartigen Seitenwandstruktur und
einer kontinuierlichen konturengetreuen Beschichtung auf
der Oberfläche der Seitenwandstruktur, wobei die Be
schichtung ein hydrophobes elastomeres Material mit ei
ner Menge an biologisch aktivem Material darin umfasst
für die zeitweise Abgabe daraus, wobei die Beschichtung
der Seitenwandstruktur in einer Art und Weise ent
spricht, dass das offene Gitter erhalten bleibt und wo
bei die Beschichtung eine äußere Oberfläche mit nicht-
thrombogenen Eigenschaften hat.
15. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 14, wobei das biologisch akti
ve Material Heparin ist.
16. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 15, wobei die äußere Oberflä
chenschicht der Beschichtung ein Material einschließt
ausgewählt aus Fluorsilicon und Polyethylenglycol (PEG).
17. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 16, wobei die äußere Beschich
tung Fluorsilicon ist.
18. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 17, wobei die äußere Schicht
gegebenenfalls weiterhin eine Menge an fein verteiltem
Heparin enthält.
19. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 16, wobei die äußere Schicht
Polyethylenglycol (PEG) enthält.
20. Stent zur Implantation in ein Gefäßlumen mit einem röh
renförmigen Körper mit offenen Enden und einer Seiten
wand und einer kontinuierlichen konturengetreuen Be
schichtung auf der Oberfläche der Seitenwand, wobei die
Beschichtung weiterhin eine Grundschicht aus hydrophobem
elastomeren Material mit einer Menge an fein verteiltem
Heparin darin für die zeitweilige Abgabe daraus enthält,
wobei die Beschichtung weiterhin eine Deckschicht auf
weist, die eine Menge an Fluorsilicon enthält.
21. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 20, wobei die Deckschicht ge
gebenenfalls weiterhin eine Menge an fein verteiltem He
parin enthält.
22. Stent zur Implantation in ein Gefäßlumen mit einem röh
renförmigen Körper mit offenen Enden und einer Seiten
wand und einer kontinuierlichen konturengetreuen Be
schichtung auf der Oberfläche der Seitenwand, wobei die
Beschichtung weiterhin eine Grundschicht aus hydrophobem
elastomeren Material mit einer Menge an fein verteiltem
Heparin darin für die zeitweise Abgabe daraus aufweist,
wobei die Beschichtung weiterhin eine Deckschicht auf
weist, die eine Menge an Polyethylenglycol (PEG) ent
hält.
23. Stent mit mindestens einem Anteil, der in den Körper ei
nes Patienten implantierbar ist, wobei mindestens ein
Teil des Stentanteils metallisch ist und mindestens ein
Teil des metallischen Stentanteils mit einer Beschich
tung zur Abgabe eines biologisch aktiven Materials be
deckt ist, wobei die Beschichtung eine Grundschicht auf
weist, die ein hydrophobes elastomeres Material enthält,
das eine Menge eines biologisch aktiven Materials darin
aufweist für die zeitweise Abgabe daraus, wobei die Be
schichtung weiterhin eine Deckschicht aufweist, die zu
mindest teilweise die Grundschicht bedeckt, wobei die
Deckschicht ein biologisch stabiles, nicht-thrombogenes
Polymermaterial enthält, das dem Stentanteil während und
nach Abgabe des biologisch aktiven Materials eine lang
zeitige Nicht-Thrombogenizität verleiht, und wobei die
Deckschicht im wesentlichen von eluierbarem Material
frei ist.
24. Stent mit mindestens einem Anteil, der in den Körper ei
nes Patienten implantierbar ist, wobei mindestens ein
Teil des Stentanteils aus rostfreiem Stahl ist, der mit
einer Beschichtung zur Abgabe eines biologisch aktiven
Materials bedeckt ist, wobei die Beschichtung eine
Grundschicht aufweist, die ein Ethylenvinylacetat-
Copolymer-Material enthält, das eine Menge eines biolo
gisch aktiven Materials darin aufweist für die zeitweise
Abgabe daraus, wobei die Beschichtung weiterhin eine
Deckschicht aufweist, die zumindest teilweise die Grund
schicht bedeckt, wobei die Deckschicht ein biologisch
stabiles, nicht-thrombogenes Polymermaterial enthält,
das dem Stentanteil während und nach Abgabe des biolo
gisch aktiven Materials eine langzeitige Nicht-
Thrombogenizität verleiht, und wobei die Deckschicht im
wesentlichen von eluierbarem Material frei ist.
25. Stent mit mindestens einem Anteil, der in den Körper ei
nes Patienten implantierbar ist, wobei mindestens ein
Teil des Stentanteils aus rostfreiem Stahl ist, der mit
einer Beschichtung zur Abgabe eines biologisch aktiven
Materials bedeckt ist, wobei sich die Beschichtung haf
tend der Stentstruktur anpasst und eine Grundschicht
aufweist, die ein Ethylenvinylacetat-Copolymer-Material
enthält, das eine Menge eines biologisch aktiven Materi
als darin aufweist für die zeitweise Abgabe daraus, und
wobei die Beschichtung weiterhin eine Deckschicht auf
weist, die zumindest teilweise die Grundschicht bedeckt,

weise die Grundschicht bedeckt, wobei die Deckschicht
ein biologisch stabiles Polymermaterial enthält, das im
wesentlichen von eluierbarem Material frei ist, wobei
die Deckschicht das Abgabeprofil des antibiotischen Ma
terials kontrolliert.
