Die Verbindung der Adern zweier Kabel (Fig. 1, 2a und 2b) erfolgt durch Einlegen in die dafür vorgesehenen Schneid-Klemmkontakte (Fig.l, 3). Der elektrische Kontakt wird beim Schließen des Gehäuses durch Einschneiden der dafür ausgeformten Metallkontakte in die Isolierung der Drähte hergestellt. Die Dimensionen der Gehäusehälften und der Schneid-Klemmkontakte sind so aufeinander abgestimmt, dajS der elektrische Kontakt sicher und mit ausreichendem Übergangswiderstand hergestellt wird. Die Gehäusehälften werden z.B. mit Schrauben verbunden, um den nötigen Druck für die Zugentlastung (Fig.l, 5) und das gleichmäßige Einschneiden der Isolierungen aufzubringen und den gängigen Sicherheitsvorschriften zu entsprechen.
