Ein derartiger Patientenstuhl ist beispielsweise aus US-PS 23 41 465 oder DE-OS 24 36 211 bekannt. Die eigentliche Rückenlehne liegt dort nicht vollflächig an dem bis zur Lehnenoberkante reichenden Mittelsteg auf; sie ist vielmehr nur an einer Stelle mittels eines Verbindungsgelenks mit diesem Verbunden. Um die Gewichtslast aufnehmen zu können, muß die Rückenlehne deshalb über ihre gesamte Länge und Breite einen eigenen stabilen Tragrahmen enthalten, auf dem die an sich relativ weiche Polsterauflage aufliegen kann. Aus der Darstellung ist ersichtlich, daß sich dadurch eine bis zur Oberkante der Rückenlehne erstreckende Einbuchtung ergibt, die das Unterfahren der Rückenlehne für einen auf der rechten Seite des Stuhles arbeitenden Behandler praktisch von der 9.00-Uhr- bis zur 11.00-Uhr- Position ermöglicht. Sofern der Patient in einer 9.00-Uhr-Position behandelt werden soll, der Behandler also bei stark geneigter Rückenlehne sich am Kopfende des Stuhles plazieren muß, ist es vorteilhaft, auch das linke Seitenteil 7 abzunehmen. Der Behandler kann so beide Beine unter die Rückenlehne plazieren, wobei der Abstand Patient zu Behandler extrem nah ist, ohne daß jedoch eine direkte Kontaktmöglichkeit zwischen Behandler und Patient im Liegebereich gegeben ist. Der Tragrahmen 6 bringt die erforderliche Stabilität, hingegen die Polsterauflage nur für eine gleichmäßige Flächenunter- bzw. -abstützung dient. Die Polsterauflage ist deshalb im Vergleich zum Tragrahmen relativ dünn ausgebildet; damit ein Umbiegen nach hinten verhindert wird, ist sie vorteilhafterweise mit einer Versteifung versehen. Diese kann z. B. aus einer federnden Einlage oder aus einem entsprechend vorgespannten Federkern bestehen. Vorteilhaft ist es, die Polsterauflage so auszubilden, daß sie nach vorne, also zum Patienten hin, elastisch, nach hinten aber weitgehend steif ist. An den Tragteilen 21 sind ferner Lagerbuchsen 19 für die Lagerung der Armlehnen 16 angeordnet. Zum Abnehmen der Seitenteile 7 bzw. 8 braucht lediglich die Polsterauflage 9, die z. B. mit Hilfe eines Klettenbandes od. dgl. am Tragrahmen 6 befestigt ist, abgenommen zu werden.
