Abstract
Stray magnetic fields generated by traction currents of different intensity and direction flowing in the rails are superposed on magnetic fields used for train control and generated by magnetic track equipment near the rails. These fields are compensated. Each control unit has at least one compensation winding (KW) connected by wires (Z1, Z2) to points (P1, PL) on the traction current (JT) carrying rail (S1). The number of turns on the winding and winding sense are such that the magnetic field generated by traction current in the rail is compensated.
