Es sei angenommen, daß sämtliche Gewichte auf Null stehen (Fig. 1). Nachdem nun das Schiebegewicht α und mit ihm das Sperrad a' eingestellt ist, wird das nächste Schiebegewicht b mit Sperrad V verschoben, wodurch das Gesperre c aus dem Sperrad V ausgehoben wird und mit seinem anderen Arm in das Rad α' eintritt. In dieser Stellung wird das Gesperre c von dem Haken d festgehalten. Das Gewicht α ist somit festgestellt (Fig. 2). Verschiebt man dann das Gewicht f, so wiederholt sich der Vorgang in derselben Weise, indem ein gleiches Gesperre g (s.
