Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Ellipsenzirkel, bei welchem die Ellipse mittels eines um zwei Brennpunktschenkel sowie um einen Zeichenschenkel gelegten Führungsfadens gezeichnet wird. Das Neue besteht darin, daß das Einstellorgan für den Faden sowie die Fadenführung für den Zeichenschenkel aus Hülsen bestehen, die auf den einen Schenkel eines gewöhnlichen Zirkels aufgeschoben werden, während die Brennpunktschenkel an einer auf den zweiten Schenkel des gewöhnlichen Zirkels aufschiebbaren Hülse angelenkt sind.
